Call me autistic all you want... Shit like this is why real (sane) people don't take cartoons seriously (at least compared to anime, anyway.). Damn shame, I love me some good cartoons - but people like these ruin what I proudly consider good, harmless time wasting for me.

Also, if this fucker broaded his fucking horizons and watched more than just overrated BS Star Vs. The Forces of Evil and Steven Universe like EVERYONE ELSE who's an SJW does, I'd have much more respect for him (too bad what respect I could have for this whiner is little to none, regardless, as he just comes off as another SJW. UGH.).

Sort of random, but one of the symptoms one can have with an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis is difficulty recognizing facial expressions and actually emoting themselves. Some people can overcome this successfully but the ones that don't tend to overexaggarate their expressions.

Since angry reviewers tend to overblow their actions and expressions some autistics take it dead seriously.

In other words I've discovered a key part of angry critics' appeal to spergs. And they emulate it in their crappy video.

Also, welcome aboard @LordKaT

Ding! We have a winner! Now you know why I hate CA's business plan!

Am I the only one who actually votes on WatchMojo? I hope doing that is at least a little more productive than just bitching about their lists.
I don't even bother, they're just going to make these videos and attract flame-baiting idiots regardless. Similar to Channel Awesome's model.

Trust me, I've tried before, and I just decided to go "fuck it".

If anything, I just want to see more obscure entertainment highlighted (which MJ does seem to do every now and then).

This is somewhat old news, but I haven't seen anyone mention it here.

This year will mark the last time James Rolfe does a month-long Monster Madness marathon.

He certainly won't stop reviewing horror movies, but will longer do a bunch of reviews every October.

This will give a lot of free time to work on others projects. He even hints that he may make more movies of his own in the future.

I wish him the best of luck, and hope that he proves the "AVGN is no longer relevant" crowd wrong.

Brad Jones joins the Kickstarter crowd. I have mixed feelings. I actually bought the Cinema Snob movie and thought it was pretty good for what it was. I look at it as just an indie low budget film and aside from its length it's pretty good. It's smart of him to involve the Walkers to get that money from Autists but I feel like just their presence alone will poison the well. It could turn out to be great if Brad and co. can keep the Walkers at bay from the creative process.

That thumbnail is terrible and the people behind this film should feel bad about it.

They want fifty grand for a shitty Nostalgia Critic skit that's just a tired punchline about internet atheism. I think they're beyond feeling shame (or proper budgeting.)

I'll be shocked if the movie doesn't get funded, so them being super lazy and complacent makes sense to me. It really is a terrible idea to film though. Either way, I feel no pity whatsoever for the schmucks who decide to enable this; they asked for it.

Well, somebody's already forked over $1000 for a cameo, so at least it'll be easy to dox and murder them.

How much does the budget of this and the AT4W movie compare to say, most of the films from Lloyd Kaufman and Troma?

As luck would have it, I was a HUGE fan of Troma and can answer.

Most films created by Troma and directed by Lloyd had a budget of around $250-500K. Poultrygeist was their lowest budgeted movie at around $100-200K. They keep their costs low because they literally hire anyone off the street and tend to fuck people over when it comes to getting paid (this comes from a friend who cast Lloyd in a movie of his and knows other people who worked for Troma).

Back in the 80's and early 90's, Troma used to have comparatively decent money to work with and most of their features had a budget between 1-3 million.

I honestly think this could work because Brad isn't a swindler. But the fact that it uses the Walkers has me in doubt over the project.

And yeah you could say it's just a one-note sketch but so was Wayne's World. It could work.

I actually think something like Paranormal Activity is a better analogy. It had a budget of $15,000... and made millions in theatres.

It's all about scale. Primer is another one that had a budget of $7K. Found footage is unsurprisingly cheap to film, that's why there's been an explosion of them all over the place especially in the no-budget cheapies.

Cannibal Holocaust (the real father of the Found Footage movie and amazing film as well) had a budget of $100K because they were shooting in a 3rd world shit hole and could pay the crew for nothing. It's an incredibly impressive-looking movie considering its budget.
