Or just watch Garth Mareghi's Darkplace.

Who's Jay by the way?
Once you think about it, Demo Reel was a lot like Darkplace without the self-awareness.
A pretentious, talentless man self-finances his own series.
There's a black guy who can't act.
There's a woman who can't act who later all but disappeared from society.
There's shoddy special effects.
Later episodes are basically rants against whatever the creator hates.
It's overly sentimental to the point where it becomes laughable.
Only six episodes were made.
The creator is patronizing towards his audience, and tries to shift blame elsewhere for the show's failings.
"I'm Doug Walker: director, dreamweaver, visionary, plus actor. You are about to enter the world of my imagination; you are entering my demo reel."

I never understood the whole outrage over the AVGN not seeing the new ghostbusters movie. I mean, do you really need to be this upset over some random guy on the Internet not paying his own money to see some movie that he knows he won't like?

If you think you'd like the movie, then use your own money and go see it yourself. It's not that hard a concept. :\

Do these people even truly know AVGN. Do they care so much for the opinion of an Internet critic who hasn't been that popular since 2010.

Most of these idiots have no idea who AVGN is. They were just told by some mullah of feminism that someone had insulted the Prophet so they of course immediately went berserk.

You know, if the Darkplace similarities were intentional, it'd actually be kind of interesting.

Do people still watch AVGN? Because I smelled blatant clickbait when this video came to light.
Yeah, people still watch him. Doesn't really seem like clickbait. The only clickbait around this was the countless "AVGN hates Ghostbusters and women lol" "news" articles about that.

He literally ripped off the concept of Home Movies - a show he claims was his favorite. If anything, people should have been more outraged by that than how shitty it was.
My guess is that his fans and detractors didn't put two and two together (then again, Doug probably butchered the idea to the point of being unrecognizable).

That, and complaining about how he ripped off a show wouldn't make it any less shitty.

Why are these people always middle-aged bearded white guys? The white man's burden didn't go away, it just evolved.
He's not middle aged:

"Yaoi Fangirls Need More Gay" That title... what. This man has clearly never met a crazy yaoi fangirl.
