It was really embarrassing to watch Doug throw random half-assed opinions to the wall and seeing what sticks. If he's being earnest in his speeches, he's a misguided fucking weirdo. Actually, even if he's not he's a misguided fucking weirdo. Also, really classy to condescend to his audience not once but twice with the "DON'T MAKE DISSENTING COMMENTS" jokes. If I could somehow adblock him twice as much, I would.
For some reason they gave him a lot of focus in Suburban Knights and To Boldly Flee (especially the latter), but I never understood why - I always assumed the big roles in the films were reserved for the big figures on the site, but Luke never seemed to do anything and only got the starring role because his name happened to line up with Luke Skywalker. To this day I have never seen or come across any of his reviews or anything else he's made, and he didn't seem to pop up in crossovers all that often either.
They were probably trying to milk the fact that they have famous guys son working for them. It cant be because they thought he's funny. Even by TGWTG standards, Luke is particularly unfunny.
That's because Doug Walker is woefully out of his element. I know I said this earlier in this thread, but he really needs to drop the whole "Nostalgia Critic editorial" thing. Just call it Doug's Soapbox instead of trying to placate his reality challenged fanbase with the illusion that they're getting a new video from their beloved Nostalgia Critic.
