Remember folks, Doug's major problem with the Matrix movie is that Neo's real name is "Tom". No, seriously, he spergs about that for like almost 3 minutes in his review.

Conclusion?: MATRIX IS NOT DEEP WHO NAMES AN EPIC MESSIAH NAMED TOM HAHAHAHAHAHA donate
Of all the reasons to hate a movie, it's the name of the main character? The fuck?

Doug, please just quit. At this point, you're coming off as a bigger sperg than 90% of your fanbase.

This is the same idiot that ripped on the Pokemon movie because the story didn't make any sense. Of course it didn't, because you didn't watch the show! It wasn't made for new moviegoers!

EDIT: Plus he made fun of the scene where Ash gets encased in stone. That shit was so sad as a kid!

"If I didn't watch it as a kid, it's scary and therefore horribly written! Unless if it'll sympathize with my SJW crowd, in which case Steven Universe is the best shit ever."

Didn't he do the same with the Digimon movie? And like half of his output?

I make fun of ANN because one of their reviewers decided to review Gundam 00 Awakening of the Trailblazer without seeing the show (that Trailblazer was the grand finale for) and complained how he couldn't understand it. But 00 was a sci-fi story where a lot of stuff happened, so it makes sense people wouldn't understand the movie without seeing the show. Doug's complaining about movies based on shows for little kids.

That's just sad.

And when he watched anything as a kid, he'll say it's a masterpiece and blah blah "KIDS IN THE 90S HAD HORRIBLE MEDIA unlike today where mah cartoon spergs are fine!" Hence why he complains about Digimon and Pokemon but he loves Adventure Time, SJW Universe, and glorifies really shitty 80s stuff like all those obscure movies or series and Ninja Turtles and Transformers

Oh God I remember that & it was one of the most autistic moments of his show. What difference does it make that Neo's real name is Tom? What else would you expect? Neo was his online alias, otherwise, Thomas Anderson was a complete average Joe of his time, working in a cubicle in New York. Was he really expecting him to have a more exotic name like an X-Men character? The point of Neo's character was he started as an every-man turned hero.

Another thing that irked me was his complaints about the design for "the devil" in the Spawn movie.

Yes, the CGI looks horrible but that's not the devil, that's Malebolgia, a renegade of Hell who rebelled against the devil and created his own Hell after being cast out from the original and yes, that is how he's supposed to look:

Also, no, the demons of Hell do not "talk". They use telepathy.

That's another problem of Doug, that he barely does any research for the things he reviews. And when people point him out big mistakes in his reviews that he could've avoided just by doing research, he starts crying foul and declaring these folks to be "Douchy McNitpicks".

He did have someone else who (supposedly) was actually a big fan of Digimon reviewing it with him. So there's that.

JesuOtaku and the only thing she could ever talk about was how the movie was cobbled together with three different films, not that it matters since they all followed the same storyline and most of the scenes cut from the three films were filler scenes.

Fun fact, everything in the Digimon franchise is part of the same canon, from the video games, to the show, to the movies, so calling the combined films a "butchered" version is a moot point when the core storyline is already split between hundreds of different products. To illustrate how much of a dick move this is, you cannot fully understand the plot to season 2 of the show without first playing the games they released on the Wonderswan hand held console, a console that only ever saw a limited release in Japan.

Oh, they also complained about the Angela Anaconda short that came before the movie, which was an autistic thing to complain about since A; it's skip-able & B; it was an awesome tribute to the show that they didn't have to do. Complaining about such a thing is on par with complaining about the animated shorts that Pixar did for their feature length movies.

"First off, I did not grow up with Pokemon. I was a junior in high school when this came out."

"WHAT THE FUCK WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST CALL IT POCKET MONSTERS OMG ITS A MONSTER THAT FITS IN YOUR POCKET HAHA LAME JAMAICAN JOKE"

Remember when Doug actually acknowledged his mistakes through his fuck up videos? Yeah good times

Good job Doug.

And that's just it, they have to nitpick about every single thing. Fuck the whole "everything is canon" bit, they want to point out that "This movie's bad because it's just three movies spliced together!" even though it technically is, yet it's still easy as fuck to follow. I remember taping the first third of the film from TV (unknowingly) and even I got the basic gist of the damn thing.

It really makes me believe Doug and co. (or at least the ones that are mediocre/terrible, like Lewis) do little to no research on their videos.
