Because of the scenes with the not Barbies. I believe his exact words were 'fetish movie'.
Last I checked, they weren't supposed to be exploting a fetish, just the whole "expendable army" trope tied with a Barbie parody. And with a kickass Led Zepplin soundtrack.

Doug clearly doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

Indeed. Communication Breakdown instantly vindicates any mistakes that may have appeared in that scene.

Wow, did his fans actually ask him to review the movie? Knowing full well he just died? God they've just turned from autistic man children to full on douchebags.

Come to think of it, most of the films Walker reviews are due to his "fans". They probably think all these films suck. What film doesn't suck for them (besides pretentious artsy crap like Brazil)?
Lol like Nostalgia Critic fans actually watch things that aren't kids movies.

As for Labyrinth, did Doug say anything that insulting to Bowie? If you're a fan and upset that's cool but I can only assume he did his same crappy jokes and poorly conceived skits. Nothing really new just doing whatever movie his fans asked him to do since he can't figure out old movies himself.

There were some shitty skits, but Doug never really insulted Bowie in the review, in fact he thought Bowie's performance was the highlight of the film

I was thinking he would do the typical "elephant in the room" skit where he looks awkwardly after seeing an actor do a bad scene but he can't say anything bad cause he's dead. He's done things like this before with Michael Jackson or Mako.

He really overdid it with the Mako thing. He made a tasteless joke about how in the CG TMNT movie, Splinter sounded like he was a chain smoker without realizing the actor who played him died of esophageal cancer during the movie's production, and he's been ramming that obnoxious "Saint Mako" running gag since.

He actually stopped doing a lot of that meme/running gag shit when he realised how obnoxious it was. Doesn't stop the autists asking Doug to do movies purely so he can lump in one joke involving one of them though.

I always hated that "joke", it was probably up there with Casper's "TIMING!" yell.

Going off of memory here, but on one episode of Pop Quiz Hotshot, the contestant was unable to correctly identify a quote from The Godfather. In an attempt at humor, they attributed it to Jingle All the Way. That whole episode basically consisted of the contestants trying to make Doug laugh by throwing his jokes back at him.

Why yes, Todd. This is exactly what I'd think if I were mentally retarded and took advice exclusively from six-dozen of the biggest faggots in North America.

Edit:
Made it a png rather than a media imbed.

I really don't think that's what they were going for
I thought the message was something like the grass is always greener but there could be a few different things taken away from it since at the end everything goes back to normal but Jack hooks up with Sally so he's not lonely anymore. That is probably the most SJW interpretation of a movie I have ever heard

There was a time when I would've expected better of Todd. A time when phrases such as "Nyberg's best friend" were but strangers to the wider world.

I think I was more upset with the fact he was releasing it after Bowie died, because it seemed like it was an attempt to capitalize off a death and get more views.

Last I checked, the movie was about Halloween creatures getting introduced to Christmas. Not about cultural appropriation or some SJW bullshit like that.

But it's a thing with a lot of reviewers. They're inordinately obsessed with morals and meanings in children's movies and TV shows, regardless of whether or not they have any.

That's because they are mentally still children and want to sound smarter than they really are.
