No idea, it isn't out yet. The last thing Doug did was a piece on how we celebrate holidays and tried to give it reason beyond 'rampant commercialism' as well as being awfully Amero=centric about it.
What is it with him trying to be a pseudo-intellectual these days? If it's because of the whole YouTube thing, then might I suggest he either set the videos as unlisted or even better, just stop before he humiliates himself further?

The "nostalgia critic editorials" are literally some of the shittiest things he puts out because
A. They have no jokes
B. He's trying to sound smart
C. Half the shit he talks about either has a one word answer that he drags out or is common knowledge

Like if it takes him 2 weeks to make a review that's fine, just put out a proper review every two weeks and stop wasting time with shit nobody watches

It's him trying to show that he's more than one character. Failing to realise that he can't escape the autism.

There was also a time in which Doug was somehow able to get Maurice Lamarche and Rob Paulsen (in person) to reprise their roles as Pinky and the Brain, so he's been pulling off stunts like this for some time now.
They were at a convention that he was at, he asked, and they agreed. There's other videos of them doing the voices at conventions, so I don't think it's a rare thing.

The only one that I watched AND enjoyed was when he listed the 11 things right with the Star Wars prequels, that was unique, it was him actually finding something positive in something we expect him to nitpick. I'm okay when he does lists for the editorials because at least he's not answering a question we all know the answer to.

Other critics can pull off the whole editorial thing without sounding like they are trying to be smart. Like CR--he's passionate about animation, and knows a lot about his topics. And his main show, Familiar Faces, is him talking about obscure or forgotten, yet important animated characters. And since you don't know a lot about the character, he manages to explain it in a clear and concise way.

As well, he's an artist outside of this, like he does animation so he has a skill to fall back on, other than reviewing stuff.

I've said this before, but I really like Doug's Was That Real? editorials. Because the subject matter is so obscure that most people wouldn't know what he's talking about, he actually has to make a case there. And he does so in about 10 minutes, which makes it a lot more to the point and not reliant on skits.

Though, I disagree with him on Sam and Max. That show was great. It was entertaining as a kid and it's entertaining as an adult. There's definitely some adult humor snuck in, along with one instance of saying the world hell on a Saturday morning cartoon.

Doug has pretty bad taste. He's a fan of the live action Transformers movies and hates the music of Randy Newman among other artistic appreciation defects.

He also made Demo Reel, which is the second worst non-pornographic work ever created behind Lightbringer.

The problem with that is that it looks terrible. We know this because of his stupid Casper review and any other time the character appears in his reviews pre-Demo Reel.

Remember, his title cards had to be commissioned to a much better person (Marobot). And his lack of grasping the difference between "Legit terrible effects" and "Intentionally laughable effects" was one of the reasons why Phelous left.

He was right about Hammerman though. That show is like prozac.

I was referring to CR as a good artist with something to fall back on, not Doug.

Definitely. Plus, those episodes feel like the way his videos used to be, before he was absolutely insufferable. His old videos still had some entertainment value, and hearing about old shows you might have forgotten/missed was interesting. His WTR videos feel like what he should be doing.
