To me, I can see why he needs to bring up politics in the Nick Knacks videos as Nickelodeon was partially shaped into that it is today by politics (snide remarks about the Regan era aside), but shit like this is uncalled for.

Though in fairness, I think that with regards to almost everything on the internet that isn't within the proper channels (Kiwi included).
 
I'm watching Brad's Jesus, Bro! and unlike all the other movies made by Channel Autism contributors it actually looks like a movie. Decent camera work and audio (some room audio in one scene that was a tiny bit distracting). It isn't funny. And it has too many unlikable twats in it like Allison and Doug Walker. Their presence is too distracting and they're not actors. Everyone else in it actually come off as actors, even the chubby girl from Doug's videos.

Weirdly, it's the opposite of the Cinema Snob movie. The quality of the DV is worse but everyone came off as an actor, including nearly all the friend actors, and it was actually funny. I have no desire to watch the sequel because it's tainted by the Walkers. This is the thing I don't get about Brad, was the intent to make an actual movie to be screened at festivals and sold to the masses or is it just a hobby and made "for fun among friends." You can't have it both ways.

I liked Cheap too. That was the absolute closest anyone from CA came to making a genuinely good movie and I'm not shitting on it but it's pretty good... For a zero budget SOV picture and for those kind of movies the bar is pretty low.

I'm only glancing the video tbh, didn't bother to see much of the explanations, but I'll give him one small credit that the video looks different compared with his old stuff even though I don't even see his videos much.
 
Way back in like, 2006-07, I used to follow PlayItBogart.
He was an alright angry reviewer, and even went away from the anger over time.

Youtube suspended his account at some point over a GTA 4 video, of all things, and it was hard to keep up with him for years. Eventually, I found him on twitter, and he seemed like a chill dude. He made a return to youtube as "IndianaBelmont" - but changed the display name to Play It Bogart. I even joined his discord for a while, but at some point around 2018 or so, I lost interest. It was mostly a slow discord and for no given reason, he started deleting chats about past e-drama (not even involving him), even though the chatter was lighthearted. He was moving into streaming, and frankly, his streams were not very interesting.

Also, a key detail is that he was getting too comfortable with his look over time. It was like watching someone slowly turn into a tranny. I'll give him credit for losing weight, but he was starting to look like a drag queen as 2018 went on. So, I pretty much stopped following him after some twitch stream that year. Since I got bored during this quarantine, I decided to check on him now. Or should I say "her"?

Same situation as you, I was a fan of his old reviews on YT back when there weren't shitloads of "angry" reviewers.


Then the dude went to college, got a good job, got married and slowly began the descent. I have no idea if he's still married. The irony is that he was the only AVGN-wannabe who didn't have drama attached. Absolute closest you got to drama is him claiming AVGN ripped off his NES Rambo review even though pointing out the game ripped off Zelda 2 was pretty obvious.

Funniest part about this was that back in 2012 he made a video on his current channel. He was going to talk about why Armake21 wasn't coming back, but then saw some troll make a reference to Irate Gamer and he laughed so hard he completely lost track of what he wanted to talk about, so I guess even he realized how dumb the whole drama was.

He made a now-deleted video back when Spoony was going through his Twitter drama way back when in which he admitted he had a huge ego and it was ruining his life and that he saw Spoony going down that same hole.

It really is a shame he deleted it.
 
Wouldn't be surprised if the closest anime PhantomStrider is into is a bunch of Pokemon anime and that's it.
 
The 4th Snake is weird. He does these long ass Mortal Kombat plot critiques and fan fictions with a really obnoxious sense of self importance. Saying you can write a better story for mortal kombat is like saying you can swim for longer against someone who isn't even in the water. Mortal Kombat is a fighting game all about the mechanics and gore, the story is slightly better than the old "make excuses to fight" fighting game stories, but not by much. Snake is weirdly obsessed with the franchise, and his fans are also incredible low energy sheep.

What I still don't get is how Strider, as someone who's stated is not a huge fan of the series, has a South Park-styled version of himself as an avatar. I don't get his reasoning behind that.

Of course, I don't get his reasoning for making videos about the worst Peppa Pig episodes either, so who am I to judge?
