I prefer Bad Piggies to Angry Birds though. I find the spinoff to be more fun due to the DIY-style.

Tis the season.

Also, Angry Birds now has a racing game called Angry Birds Go.

I enjoy the games. They're fun when I'm trying to pass the time.

I have the original Angry Birds, Seasons, Space, Star Wars 1 and 2, and Bad Piggies.

Not really interested in Go, Rio or Tournament. I'm not that big of a fanboy.

I like Bad Piggies because either you are successful and happy or you get lulz out of your failure.

Agreed there. There's just something about seeing your vehicles get completely destroyed and watching the little freckled pig bounce around for a bit and then going back to being all calm and passive, waiting for you to retry.

God time flies. There are kids who grew up with Angry Birds that are now adults.
Angry Birds is a retro game now

I enjoyed it but never got too far, I guess they just never mixed it up enough for my tastes. Kinda wanted to get the trilogy on PS3 but I never saw it price drop much, and paying $40 for an Angry Birds game felt like an insane proposition.

Did they even do anything for the 10th anniversary last year?

Space used to be on Steam ages ago but got removed a while back before I was able to grab it. Shame.

so I've been playing Trilogy on Vita off and on lately and it aged really well, it's pretty great that it managed to archive those games so you can play them long after they've been pulled from all the app stores

It must be a nightmare for anyone trying to keep up with the whole series. The only two console releases were Trilogy and Star Wars, leaving like half of the series to the whims of the App Stores. I'm sure some zoomer someday's gonna release a megawad-style compilation with all of the levels ripped out of Android versions and put into one huge game in an effort to preserve them.

Oh fucking hell. Are we gonna get huge wiki articles on the physics engines of the different versions of angry birds like they do for sonic?
I'm pretty sure they just used Box2D though...

As incredible as it is to think about, this is true, I consider anything as old as a decade to be officially retro, because people absolutely considered the SNES to be a retro console by the time it was a decade old, so why shouldn't that apply to anything else?

That means it won't be too long until the PS4 is a "retro console" as well, but hey, that's just how it goes.

Rovio is pissed more people are buying their rerelease of the first game than spending microtransactions of their newer ones so they're delisting it on Android and renaming it on iOS.

(also happy 10th birthday to this thread)

Huh... it's almost like people don't like mobile games with microtransactions and would rather play a complete game that doesn't have any of that bullshit in it.

But yea, Im sure removing the more popular game and forcing people to play the bad ones instead won't backfire on them at all in the slightest. [/sarcasm]

Sooooooooo this is real...

…I mean it’s slightly better than the Markiplier smash or pass on the Pokémon creatures, but this is still weird.

I get Red’s comments where he points out the two kids,,, but he’s a whole different species from them all so it’s still a bad look.

this comment best explains all of this
