Just saw this game on Steam and thought it looked interesting. Seems to be a standalone version of Gmod City 17 Roleplay (with a bit of DarkRP thrown in). Has anybody played it? Is it any good? Is it at minimum of interest to my fellow Kiwis?
 
Roleplay servers are shit, especially these days where you will be banned for wrongthink or if you're trying to have fun in an "unintended way".
 
i saw this the other day. i may end up checking it out if it's anything like old gmod rp servers without the CVS receipt of a MOTD, trannies, and VIP jobs
 
This seems to be a separate spinoff by a different dev team from the original Industrial Nightmare (used a shitty hl2rp base before moving to combine control i think) gamemode on gmod, though the dev for the latter is an unstable commie guro tranny that would meltdown and shut the server down every few months before relaunching it because people weren't playing it the way he wanted them to.
Don't know if this was made with his blessing but they're definitely fans of Liver Failure (4-5th iteration of industrial nightmare and the usual roleplay autism)
 
these RP mods and their standalone knockoffs always seem so goofy to me given how fugly they are. this game looks like peak 2006, grungy ass low-res textures with even grungier player models sporting only the most rudimentary animation work. a guy with a barely recognizable clothes texture skates into the laundromat, flails his arm in the general direction of a washing machine to open it, and then levitates an unmoving clothes brick in front of his face into the machine, which then absorbs the brick into its invisible inventory. retards scream at each other through their shitty mics while alternatively bouncing and duck walking around a store with unrecognizable, unmoving boxes glued sparsely to the shelves. how immersive. the future of Video's Gameing has truly arrived
 
I played on this server when it was up a few years ago. I liked how grimdark it all was. Also, the dev added code that would jumpscare you occasionally for no reason at all. I think it ran on a timer.

Either way, while on paper these roleplay servers should function as intended the human element(autistic manchildren drunk on power in a position of authority) is what causes it's downfall. Every person on these servers to some degree or another uses "roleplay" as an excuse to live out their power fantasy and someone steps out of line or accidentally shatters their illusion the pissbabies throw a tantrum. Maybe a vetted rp server could work if everyone on a whitelist was there to rp instead of power trip, but good luck finding enough people to do that.

I like the look personally. It gives me the same vibes as Cruelty Squad, only instead of eye-searing neon colors it's hideous shit-adjacent colors.
 
A blast from the past.

I remember this dude in the beginning days of Gmod. Always had some kind of roleplay server up (Phase Four, STALKER, CityRP) and eventually began coding his own roleplay environments. Industrial Nightmare was interesting. Sadly the population never took off.

All that work to make a wonderful server in a game and it is wasted. Instead of building the community he roleplays as a woman sex object in industrial hell.

Strange guy. Was always there.
 
Played a bit had fun doing jobs and fucking with other people trying to do there jobs. Ended up pushing people in to the corpse burner alot and hording laundery in my apartment ending in a police rade shoot out it was a great time
 
Spent about 8 hours on this now. Much, much better than playing on a Gmod server. I have yet to see any jannying (even on rented servers) or major faggotry. Cultist life is best life.

He makes it look fun, but gmod dark rp with a dash of lifeweb THA GAME doesn't tickle my fancy all that much being a friendless weirdo. Might nab it on sale if there are no overbearing tranny jannie servers like SS13
 
This is a fun game. I started playing during the alpha and beta playtests, then stopped playing for a while after the retail release, but I resumed it today and I find it to be very fun. There is lots to do and most people are very chill.

People seem generally carefree, saying nigger, faggot, retard, etc. casually. I have never heard of somebody getting banned. It probably only happens on official servers.

Yup. Avoid the official servers like the plague. They're maintained quite well in terms of server refreshes etc, but the jannying is hot and heavy on them now, thanks to some whiney faggots on the Steam forums. This is why the last patch introduced a global ban list which you can opt in on.

The official line from Vellocet is that its for hackers/cheaters, but it seems mighty odd that easier ways to identify someone's Steam ID and a global ban list came right after a very vocal minority started complaining about people using "slurs".

This here seems to suggest that Ayayron is the lead dev, which is no bueno.
 
So I bought the game, and it is really fun and turbo janky. But for $12 I got lucky with cosmetic drops and made $60.

I didn't think people actually bought those, but what a world we live in and what people will do for pixels.
 
A rip off of a pedonigger piece of shit called Lifeweb, and with similar outcomes. Insane degenerate trannies play it - they wish for hell on earth to happen, a hell in a multiplayer game they create. Worth only if you raid it with a bunch of friends, otherwise only if it feeds your specific autisms.
