This is how it would appear to Artists such as Dobson, but the reality is that they take criticism as well as lead floats, so something akin to "Your characters height is inconsistent through the strips" = "BE AS NASTY AS YOU WANT!"

(Un)fortunately, it turned out he didn't write that that strip, he only drew it. I found some other gems but I think I've spammed up the thread enough at this point. :P

I think the kid's line at the end says it all. And why is Dobson Bear like five feet tall? Plus what the fuck's going on with his left eye in the first panel?

Na, I'm pretty sure he means Sudoku. I mean, when you see something eye-gougingly horrible or you shame yourself and your family name, don't you whip out a pen and start doing number puzzles?
