He's been banned from Halloween by the city for yelling at a group of kids about how their Korra costumes are all wrong and how Korra and Asami would NEVER hold hands with a dang dirty MALE.
 
Check out what I found under the Tom Preston tag on tumblr. It was there just because Preston and Tom was in the description, but it's hilariously fitting.

Halloween is a time to dress up and try to scare or trick others. iirc, Dobby hates it because he was always picked on or stupid mean goons tried to scare him.

Also pretty sure he hates the idea of giving something(candy) without getting something (money) in return.

It is because of Halloween. At least around last year he went on a bitch-fit on twitter, claiming he hates it for being cold, everyone walks around in these stupid costumes and annoying him, asking him for shitty candy, and all his beloved cartoons turn spooky.
Or as some brony once reacted to it...

What I find funny about the complains is the following: He says he hates spooky shit in his cartoons and yet supposedly watches Gravity Falls and Steven Universe. Gravity Falls opened its second season with Grunkle Stan hiting zombieheads open and brainmatter flying around the room, while Steven Universe has one antagonist commiting experiments on gems that look like something out of Re-Animator II.
Frankly, I suggest we bother the idiot one month long with horror movies, just to spite him.

He must have really hated the Nightmare Hospital episode then. Re-Animator and Silent Hill references, the forced fusion experiments...

Oh, and there was the DBZ easter egg, so he'd also hate it because anime.
