Funny that you write this given that "Funnyman Anglin" is probably one of the destructive personalities associated with the alt-right and it's aftermath, with some of his greatest hits being:
1. Kicking anybody who wasn't down with edgy cartoon Nazism out of "the movement" (First Optics War against the alt-lite)
2. Platforming IronMarch and Atomwaffen (and then doing a 180 and proclaiming they were a fed honeypot from the beginning years later)
3. Destroying the case Richard Spencers mother had against Tanya Gersh by engaging engaging in an open harassment campaign against her and soliciting people like Cantwell and NSM activists for a "Nazi march of Whitefish" (Reminder: Gersh was collaborating with the local synagoge to protest in front of her properties until she put them up for sale)
4. Deliberately losing his own case against Gersh while fundraising at least 150k for "legal defense" resulting in him getting slapped with 14 million dollars in damages
5. Playing the Harvey Weinstein Internet Defense Force with an assortment of other "dissident right" personalities (given some messages between Bannon and Epstein, this might have been ordered and paid for by Epstein)
6. Being instrumental in the Second Optics War (this time against "the wignats" aka anybody not cool with doing nothing but voting straight ticket R) which enabled the rise of Nick Fuentes

There were over 10,000 members of the TRS 504um when I joined in 2017. It’s almost like the glowies put this shit out there to demoralize and undermine, and NPCs like you just go ahead and parrot it like it’s the gospel, or something.

Now that you reminded me he also promoted going to Charlottesville and did a 180 on that after it went badly. On a few occasions he also said he was going to write articles on how to start gangs and pick up chicks that he never made good on. Obviously it wouldn't have been good advice, but I was always curious. I guess since they never materialized he either had no idea what to write or realized whatever idea he had made him look stupid.

don't give up on free speech. dont give up on the internet. and I dont know if tor is going to be possible, with their controls they put on these computers in the past 15 years. Ive heard they have network control capabilities. But I have an old socket 775 computer (and old intel me can be removed) so i dont know if tor will even be a possibility. It would take old computers + tor + a way to get on the internet becuase theyre going to hack you anyway and try to locate you. Surfboards is all im gonna say.

I give TRS and NJP way more credit than Anglin, because they actually organized something real. Yeah, it stagnated, fell to infighting, and they suck at the politics part of political organizing. But at least they put a real community together, to the point of IRL meetups and protests. Nobody was following Anglin to the same degree.

However I never considered the TRS to be full blown neo-Nazis, in the proper sense or in the Stormer vein; they just hate Jews. This is a debate I had several times with TRS and NJP members, and most seemed to agree, not out of dissension or disavowal but simply a difference in identity. TRS has a thread separate from Anglin/Stormer, because even though there's obviously overlap in the two audiences--the thread title even references "Gullible Neo-Nazi Conspiracy Theorists"--they are separate factions and branding.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe you see it differently, but it's not interesting enough to argue through here. Maybe real neo-Nazism has never been tried, and you're all just regular vanilla Jew-haters. Great, fine, pitch in with Anglin if that floats your boat, but scanning across the tattered remnants of the old alt-right, I don't think anyone's boat is still floating.

Because, ultimately, 10k is still a tiny drop in the bucket. Assume the real numbers are like KF's, add double the unregistered viewers as audience, and that still stacks up to 30k. Pull in everyone who ever visited /pol/ in 2016 or whatever other similarly-aligned outpost. It's probably not going to crack 200k, definitely not 300k, and that's at the public height of the movement... in an election cycle when Donald Trump won 62 million votes.

MAGA went MIGA under Zion Don because the people who use the last 2 terms have so little influence, they're barely tracked by the FBI any more. Their biggest leaders have KF threads. The only name the public knows any more is a gay Mexican catboy-chasing podcaster. That isn't because people like me talk down to them, or shit on glorified blogs pretending to usher in the 4th Reich. It's because there is so little appetite in America for a 4th Reich that it's barely a rounding error in the political community. That is not a new development, it's a trend nearly 100 years old at this point.

According to AI summary, The Daily Stormer was supposedly getting about 3 million monthly visitors at its height in 2017, with 100k registered members. (I can't find unique visitors or payment breakdowns). All that cratered after 2018 with its deplatforming. That suggests a huge portion of visitors were rubberneckers to the most notorious, controversial site on the Net, and not real supporters. The TRS audience seems qualitatively different, and even grew over the same period where the Stormer declined.

So I'll admit TRS had a bigger real community than KF. They did manage meetups and pool parties, while there are no IRL Kiwi meetups. That's a minor achievement I won't mock. But KF at least spawned USIPS, which is moving US policy more than the NJP ever did. Completely different realm of politics, but even with 3 people and no money it's gained more outside-the-bubble support and became more palatable to normies.

If you think all that is because the Jews downplayed some web traffic numbers a decade ago, and not because of underlying political realities, you might be too far gone to argue on the uppercase-I Internet.

It's also worth remembering that the entire alt-right, of whatever faction, got kneecapped by feds and Big Tech after 2017. So any talk about their growth over the last decade has to include the asterisks of deplatforming, debanking, and cancelling that held them back.

But even with all that, Anglin and the Stormer wound up being one of the least successful in attracting an underground audience. Go back to the beginning of this thread and see the examples why.
