There's this thing called "bail." Also there are things called "trials" before you get sent to prison. I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but Singapore is actually a civilized country with things like this.

In all these years, the only talent Amos has proved to have is antagonising people. Otherwise he has no abilities or qualifications whatsoever. If you put him in prison, you would be doing him a bigger favour than he deserves. Let's start with the obvious, you would be giving Amos a place to crash and his necessities covered which is something he clearly has struggled with all his life. Yes, he would be receiving caning at least twice a week but he deserves worse.

How has his life as a free man been so far? Well, before he ran to America he was getting assaulted multiple times and that when the worst he had done was making fun of Lee Kuan Yew's passing. 3 months in jail and the start of a criminal record seem to be worth it for the chance to use criminal force on Amos Yee.

Once mummy and daddy kick the bucket, the little neet will struggle just to find ways to sustain himself. Even if mummy paid bail that doesn't mean he still doesn't have a big, fat mark on his criminal record that will affect his job prospects. He doesn't even have a high school diploma.

The little pervert isn't walking free. Singapore is his prison.

I cant quite understand why Amos had the audacity to walk into a public space filled with minors is insane. I hope from here on out he doesn't go outside and rots, but if he does we need more heroes that just beat his ass (Or any pedophile for that manner)
