I have a question though - how the fuck is he even allowed at a convention that is clearly aimed at kids/teens? As much as people like to pretend, anime is inherently aimed at minors. Surely he has bail conditions or conditions of being a sex offender, or does Singapore do it different from the west?

The assumption is the event organizers can’t do anything because he wasn’t in the event area (the actual convention halls), and instead he was in the public area belonging to the building owners (Suntec Convention Center) which is outside (literally) of their jurisdiction.

It was said before upthread, but he was arrested for draft dodging and his mum paid bail. His only crime in Singaporean soil is that. The noncery was sadly on the land of the free and the home of the brave. All countries with military conscription will force you to pay a fine if you refuse to comply. If Hasan returned to Turkey he would get the same treatment and the same outcome.

Singapore has strict laws against violence. To the point "assault" is the mere implication you may attack someone or a threat you may do it and "criminal force" is you actually doing it. Defending yourself is allowed as long as you do proportionally. Up to 3 months imprisonment and $1500 fine. If Itadori can prove that Amos provoked him, he still could get up to a month imprisonment and $1000 fine.

The usual suspects will now start mumbling about how it’s cringe to police conventions for creepy behavior and imply it’s a simpspiracy to protect cosplay thots (who will benefit make no mistake, but there are bigger fish to fry).

That cosplayer clearly has absolutely zero athleticism, fighting experience, or technique. However, his heart is clearly very much into it, and he went for it anyway. It doesn't even matter because Amos is in the exact same boat.

A classic pummeling where you can tell he means it. Much better and more genuine than a guy who dabbles in boxing or MMA picking a fight with someone smaller or that has no fighting experience.
 
Gotta reevaluate my opinion of Singapore and their supposed "tough on crime" attitude where chucking gum on the sidewalk will supposedly earn you the cane if he's just walking about. Rare cosplayer W as well, go young weeb man, go. The world is full of surprises.
 
Given how much of a sexually-malfunctioning perv Anus Yee is, what are the odds he got a stiffy from getting his ass beat by a minor?
