One simple reason: It's fucking useless.

There has not been a threat in another country attacking Singapore for the past 60 years. And even if there's a threat, having a military wouldn't matter because we're a small country of 6 million people. If someone attacks, the military from the United Nation will defend us, our small military wouldn't make a difference.

The real reason that Singapore not only has an expensive military but a mandatory 2-year military for all Singaporean males 17 years old & above, it's just an excuse to brainwash.

Having half the population follow orders and recite pro-government messaging, you risk being sent to prison for disobeying. How do you not end up being obedient to the dictatorship after those 2 years?

The hundreds of millions of dollars wasted on military could be spent on helping the poor get food, healthcare & housing. And giving the mandatory military a pretentious title 'National Service', it's not a service to the nation; the government is swindling money that could lift people out of poverty, to brainwash Singaporeans so that the dictators can continue getting elected.

Whether you spend time in prison, fake a mental illness, or say you're a Jehovah's witness, I think it's the moral obligation of every Singaporean to skip 'National Service', even if it risks your life.

Sure, being a full-time conscript isn't the best thing or feeling in the world. But I'm proud that I served, after all it is a great equaliser in that every motherfucker suffers together no matter how rich or poor you are. Conscription is a great nation building exercise, all sorts of racism and bias nonsense gets forced out of your body when your yellow or brown or black or white brothers are the ones lifting you up and supporting you when the going gets tough. It's a shared experience that every Singaporean son goes through, and it bonds us as a nation. It was never about being militarily strong or anything, we know that we're just a tiny island. But the brotherhood and resilience, they last forever.

Of course that faggot wouldn't understand any of that.

You can organise and protest as a group, or spontaneously go out and protest by yourself whenever injustice happens. When you chant against injustice or hold up a written sign, when the police arrive, you should never respond violently. Let them arrest you, let them attack you. Never react with physical violence, don't insult or shout vulgar language at them.

Openly getting yourself arrested, suffering without fighting back, trigger the hearts of Singaporeans who otherwise wouldn't care about politics. It changes people's minds and causes them to act.

After 60 years of the same political party ruling Singapore, it's clear that the legal method of running for elections or criticising the government is not enough. We need the courage to break the laws and get ourselves arrested. If we do that, things will finally change. If not, we'll get another 60 years of being ruled by the same dictatorship.

(Before reading this, read this to know what's going on: A Summary of Amos Yee's Situation with ICE & Deportation (as of 4 February 2026))

Every day, I'm praying and visualising that public protests happen when I'm arrested back in Singapore. I just need 10 people willing to risk their lives and it will be the biggest public protest in Singapore in the last 50 years. But, before I get those 10 people, I probably need 1000 people to support me and 10000 people to speak up for me. If I'm locked up in Singapore and nobody is willing to protest for me, ... oh well, I might just try again the next time I get myself arrested.

As I wrote before, Why Singaporeans Must Illegally Protest Non-Violently -- The Key to Create Political Change, it's essential for illegal public protests to happen to successfully topple the Singapore government. If I don't have the influence & character to cause that to happen, I hope someone else does. Most of the oppositions in Singapore for the past 60 years have been useless and incompetent. The people who finally defeat PAP will be mostly new faces who haven't emerged, both in political parties and as activists.

When I arrive back in Singapore, I might have at least a few weeks of freedom before being sent to prison for 3 years. If not, I guess that's it. See you in 3 years. Unlike in American prisons, I don't have access to phones or emails, so you might not hear from me until 3 years later. If nothing else, at least you read some of my blogs. I hope some of them have been of use to your lives. To quote Winston Churchill, 'This may not be the beginning of the end, but it might be the end of the beginning?'.

Public protests are perfectly legal in all other countries in the world with actual freedom of expressions. Yet when Singaporeans do something so basic in democracy, they are handcuffed, harassed and attacked by the police, might have thousands of dollars of items from the house confiscated and will have to spend months in prison.

Yet, it's because you get arrested which is precisely why that's more of a reason to do it. People who otherwise wouldn't care about politics will start to care once there are protestors getting attacked in the streets constantly. Suffering is the most effective way to change people's minds. And, it's why weakass legal protests in Hong Lim Park where they need a government permit to be granted a small plot of land for demonstration, those don't count.

Not every one should do something illegal and be arrested, there needs to be people outside of prison for certain tasks. But, historically, it's essential for many people to break unjust laws, risk their lives and go to prison, for political change to happen.

It's also important that protests should strictly be non-violent. Violence is unacceptable, because the more suffering happens to your enemy and the less of it happens to you, then the public will feel less sympathy to your cause.

Whether you decide to protest or not, you should be willing to suffer. You should not let the fear of suffering stop you. The more people suffer now, the less people will suffer in the future, not only for the millions now in bondage, but for the unborn millions to come.

Many people are against the PAP dictatorship and are willing to speak up privately or even publicly. But the moment their lives are threatened, when they risk getting arrested or risk losing their jobs, money, school or family, they start becoming violent.

Unfortunately, being politically active until it becomes inconvenient, is not enough to create a political change. You need to have a warrior's mindset, you need to be free from the fear of risks and torture, you need to give up your life, it's such people that turn the tides of history.

Now, that doesn't mean you should be reckless and always break the laws and put yourself in danger. It just means you will let strategy, and not a fear of your life, dictate your decision.

Everyone is capable of being a hero, everyone is able to sacrifice their lives so they can save others. All the great world religions preach to free yourself from your attachment to money, reputation and family. If you do so, nothing threatens you. That's what you can learn from going to prison. If you have nothing, you have nothing to lose. To quote Buddha 'Sometimes you have to lose everything before you gain everything'.

Amos has been moved to "CLAY COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER", i looked it up and this is still an "ICE" facility
its a jail of some kind that has contracts with ICE to use its cells, same as the last 2 places he was at, even the same classification
he went from DODGE DETENTION FASCILITY, to MIAMI CORRECTIONAL CENTER, to now being at CLAY COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER

How To Be Fearless

The secret is nobody is actually fearless. No one can ever get rid of fear, but you can change your relationship towards fear. You can learn from fear, be grateful to fear, even love fear.

I was never a person to push away or distract myself from negative feelings. That's fortunate because running away from fear actually makes it stronger. Even before I discovered meditation, as a teenager I wouldn't push fear away, but instead let myself reflect on traumatic things people said or did to me. Years later, I found out that my little reflection sessions might have had the effects of mindfulness meditation, where I processed my fear so it didn't control me.

For about 5 years now, I've done RAIN meditation where I spend twenty minutes to an hour a day opening myself up to negative feelings and experiences in my past. And recently I've experimented with more techniques like Wim Hof Breathing and Cold Therapy. All these techniques deliberately place your mind and body into a state of fear, to confront fear so you learn to deal with it, to bend so you won't break. So when traumatic things happen in life (like in my case: being hated by thousands of people or being sent to prison), I can handle the situation. The fear isn't that big a deal because well... I've literally been experiencing it every day of my life. It's like how do you stop feeling uncomfortable in cold weather? You go out naked in the snow until you get use to it.

So yes, the people who seem fearless do have fear. In fact, they probably experience more fear than anyone else. I feel fear every day, but it hasn't stopped me from making all the best decisions of my life (like dropping out of school, defending pedophiles, protesting against the Singapore government and being sent to prison a million times). It's alright to be afraid, so long as it doesn't decide your actions in life. In fact, if you're not doing something scary, you're probably not living up to your fullest potential, you're probably not doing what God wants you to do.
