Not sure how that could be, considering American Dad is on TBS, which is owned by Warner.
The show is airing on a Warner network, yes, but the show itself is produced and made by a Disney company, 20th Television Animation

Triple posting as tonight's episode is going to be about Francine and her feelings of Steve and Hayley. Is this something foreshadowed over 15 years ago?

So the season finale (another Christmas episode) was last night. See you next season

Finally got caught up on the newer seasons. You can see the modernism peeking through, but it’s still mostly funny/imaginative.
The TBS era episodes are imaginative and funny for sure, but they're not as good as the Fox era episodes. Episodes such as Shell Game and Rabbit Ears are still the best episodes in the TBS era.

Remember this KoTH reference?

One good scene syndrome. People really love the tomato sauce subplot.

I coincidentally just watched Rabbit Ears last night. Still a great episode. I'm surprised Alistair Covax hasn't returned in a Christmas episode.

I like it because it’s a classic Roger plot where he goes overboard and then eventually learns his lesson. It may seem quaint by modern TV standards but I’m happy to take a formulaic plot occasionally as a break from meta-commentary bullshit like Rick and Morty!

I have new episodes to catch up on. The Clearview voyeur motel was the best one I've seen so far from the newest season. I'm watching episodes with somebody who hasn't watched American Dad before, so I'm having to think across seasons for my favorite episodes. Haylias, the Dill Shepppard episode is definitely up there. Witches of Langley Falls. The Uninviteds. I might add that episode where Stan is into those remote control race cars to the list, I forget what its called lol
