Anyone kind of disappointed they didn't keep Terry around on American Dad by transplanting Klaus's mind inside his body?

Would have made for a nice serialized arc: Klaus living it up in a stolen body, Terry trapped in a fish body and lost at sea, Stan going insane trying to prove what Klaus did and the rest of the family either being in denial that Klaus escaped the Smith family home or pretending that they don't know what Klaus did purely to troll Stan, and watching Greg see all of his upper class pretentiousness explode in his face as Klaus (in Terry's body) starts living like a bisexual fratboy and openly dating women while still married to Greg and occasionally having pity sex with Greg. Maybe even have Klaus hold the Micah debacle over Greg's head to keep him from divorcing Klaus/Terry.

Once Mike Barker left the series by the tailgate end of the Fox era, his characters were gone along with, which is why the crew had to rewrite Greg and Dr. Weitzman for the TBS era.

I kind of wish that Klaus had a permanent human body. It would be fun to see more interactions of him and being more involved as a human.

Does anyone know why this season has such a large gap between episodes? The last episode was back in March and its coming back after 6 months (this September).

So what did everyone think of the Gold Top Nuts episode? Seems pretty polarizing.

Imo, one of their best easily. Definitely of the TBS series, that's for sure. Great concept, watching the characters learn how to be human was hilarious and it ended on a real nice message. On a sidenote, I wish Morning Mimosa was a real show.

I thought it was okay. The beginning made me think it was going to be the American Dad version of Survivalmatsu. I really did like the ending message, and the reveal that the whole episode was a Gold Top Nuts commercial reminded me of that one episode of Gintama that focused on Kagura's dad (it turned out he was in a commercial for some hair loss product).

Since we're never gonna get a second Hayley Sings album (an album that's ten years old at this point) anytime soon, we might as well hope for a Steve Sings album.

Last couple seasons of Family Guy and American Dad have felt like they're each taking opposite approaches to trying to get cancelled, and in AD's case the result is usually kinda fucking great. Plus I guess Family Guy still gets some credit for making AD look good.

By the time Family Guy got cancelled for good in 2002, it gave Seth a proper opportunity to greenlight American Dad, and also give Family Guy more appreciation once Adult Swim reran the show and when Fox released the show on DVD.

What's the Micah debackle?

What's the Micah debackle?
In like the second or third to last Fox era episode, Greg and Terry adopt a Russian boy named Micah, who Roger straight up MURDERS (via throwing him out an airplane over the ocean) so he could usurp his identity and become Greg and Terry's new son so that he could live life in a household that was wealthy and sophisticated after attending a fancy party at their house.

While Greg was shown to be a snobby old queen, Terry turned out to be a secret slob who enjoyed junk food and other blue collar/working class things that a rich fag like Greg despised and banned from the house. Eventually, Greg because suspicious that someone in the house was eating junk food against Greg's house rules he forced upon the couple and their daughter and Terry plots to kill "Micah" and frame him for having ate the junk food and vice versa with Roger wanting to kill Terry to keep him from ruining his new sophisticated lifestyle. In the end, Terry "drowns" Roger during a fight on a canoe on a lake where both are trying to kill each other. Afterwards, Terry calls Greg to tell him that "Micah" died in a "boating accident" but Greg is all "who fucking cares, he was too fat to fit into Lena Dunham endorsed skinny jeans which is super important for fitting into our family I don't care that he "drowned" you big lug, it was a mistake even adopting him and now you've made the problem go away and we can milk his death for sympathy and free funeral food!" as far as helping Terry cover up their adopted son's "murder".
