Two things that keep me coming back to American Dad, that don't apply to Family Guy.

The first is, somehow, they manage to actually, legitimately, satire and slander everyone. Yeah, I'd say it's probably more biased to the left than the right, but comparing that to Family Guy for the last few years, where basically everyone on the show is at least as far left now as Brian was in the first few seasons... Yeah.

And, it's somehow not so incessantly hateful. I just feel uncomfortable watching Family Guy these days. Everyone basically hates everyone, and it's just... unpleasant.

I was actually at Ground Zero. I was the first on the scene selling erotic T-shirts. Osama bin Sexy, Sexy bin Laden and Yo Mama bin Fartin'. That last one was not erotic to everybody.

The second rule you can read on my website. You have to be 18 to log on. I have some sexy barnyard stuff on there that is NOT for everyone; I could get in a lot of trouble. If you do decide to check it out you need to clear your history right away. You may need to uninstall your browser. I'm telling you scrub that thing clean. If you think you're being too cautious, you're not. They will take us both to jail.

Hope nobody jumps down my throat. But I can't stand this show. I actually think it's worse than Family Guy. The jokes aren't funny, and not one of the characters are likeable. Not judging, but of interest, why are you guys into it?
Here's an answer two years too late:
- Characters are flawed (especially Stan), but they're not the same kind of sociopathic assholes as Family Guy characters; there's still that feeling of a family that actually loves each other, and the show's world isn't as mean in general.
- Roger adds a lot of fun to the show, the idea of a character who is always playing other characters (like some skit comedy) is brilliant. Can have a bunch of exaggerated, larger-than-life characters while still having continuity between them and without the risk of them falling flat.
- Feels less political
- It's humor feels like it's much more reliant on absurdism (but in a clever way) than on shock and crassness.

Still haven't seen the TBS seasons but I love the Fox run of the show.
The TBS era is a mixed bag to me. It has some great episodes (Shell Game and Rabbit Ears are good examples), but also some turds. That said, it could be worse; it could've been as bad as Futurama's Comedy Central seasons. But yea, the Fox seasons were awesome.

Double post but
I love the songs from American Dad. They should've had more B-12 episodes before killing off every member that wasn't Steve and his friends.

Steve and Hayley both have hauntingly great signing voices. Hayley Sings is a certified hood classic of an album (given that this is Seth's sister, Rachael doing the voice of Hayley and they both have great singing voices).

There is the occasional stinker and its run out of steam in the past couple of years but even at its worst its infinitely more watchable and less lazy than FG is now, I'd check it out honestly.

More than once I've pondered how a brother and sister can be super into essentially dead music styles, so in a roundabout quest they make a franchise of loosely related cartoons that are not music-based, just to force their musical interests on an unwilling audience.

This episode was quite underrated. Sure Ricky Spanish was Roger's fine persona, but this one's more ruthless.

So which one is the craziest?
