Hospitals often want at least a little. If someone discharges their liabilities via bankruptcy, the hospitals get nothing at all. Not everyone files bankruptcy over their bills. Some people just won't, for their own reasons, and just grind away at them. Also, not every hospital bill is catastrophic. When I'm talking here, I'm only talking about major, catastrophic events: heart bypass surgeries, cancer treatments, and these types of things. I've known plenty of people who wind up in the ER for things or require surgery, who do not have insurance, but still get treated because unlike the conspiracy theorists out there who think the AMA and insurance companies are in cahoots to withhold a "cure for cancer" as if every cancer is the same or somehow cancer would not longer exist because there is a cure, medical people go into medicine to help sick people. Are there assholes? Just like everywhere else in life. But the vast majority are willing to work with people to get them the care they need, when they need it.

Do they look at a patient's finances? You bet. Would their eyes pop on Big Al's finances, if she's being honest for a change? Also you bet. They'd probably be asking her why the fuck she doesn't have insurance, too - which, I suspect, would be a reason for the weight loss consultant appointment being "months away": she is not an urgent case, so any full on treatment or surgery can wait until after the enrollment period and until her shiny new insurance kicks in next year.

Until then, apparently she will be doing the same thing she always has: eating herself to death.

I don't think she would quit as fast as her diets. Big L is used to diets and milking them, and *faking* conditions to garner sympathy. I don't think she ever expected to get stage II cancer at 29 and this is the only real health crisis that ever gotten through her thick narc skull, even if it is only for a quick second.

She stage cries a lot, about all sorts of things. But at the end of the day, she's still the same terrible person.

so she knows that this is not normal. A human body is not supposed to sustain that amount of weight. If she dislikes discomfort, she would be actively trying to lose weight (which she was in the beginning of her channel, before the YouTube bucks).

And therein lies the conundrum. The only thing remotely interesting about her is that she's morbidly obese. YT coin is her income, and if you just take a sampling of her videos, mukbangs or anything else involving food consistently has the highest view count (and most of the "cancer" videos have high counts). She doesn't exercise or do anything to offset the calories like some other mukbang channels, so she just continues to gain while whining all the time about wanting to lose weight. It's a complete shitshow, people want to watch, and it's a catch-22 for her.

If she does not get the surgery, it is gonna spread fast. Having chunks coming out of her period hole is only the beginning. Either way, I got my popcorn ready. My thing is I find it more likely, like you said in your last sentence, for her to be turned away by doctors rather than her running away (probably not run per se, maybe roll....).

The long and short of it is she faked a call to the urologist, played it on YT as proof she "tried" to make an appointment but couldn't, then got called out on it for being fake because several Facebook speds actually called the same office and the recording was blatantly different. She then raged and made another video trying to cover her laaahing about it in the first place, only making her look like a bigger ass.

That's our gorl, though. Get caught in a lie? Double-down and tell your audience they're Haydurs and dispecktful fucking pieces of shit.

It was Vlogmas 22 (which I think she then deleted after the drama, and stopped doing vlogmas altogether to avoid further backlash). If I remember correctly, in one of the previous videos she said she needed to go to the urologist for one of her 6-month UTI/kidney infection or wathever, so she called the urologist on camera. The call went to the doctor’s voicemail, but it was a rather suspicious message: people started speculating it was actually a recorded message of Becky pretending to be the doctor’s secretary, since it sounded like her voice. To prove us wrong, in the next video (vlogmas 22) she called the urologist on video again, showing the phone screen to prove she wasn’t calling Becky’s number, but doing so she revealed the urologist’s number. Dumb people not unlike the ones populating the “Exceptionals Heydurs” thread identified and started calling the urologist to ask for confirmation.

This is how I remember it going down. Fun fact: the second time around, the voicemail message was different, so she didn’t actually prove anything.
