I find it fascinating that Mommy dearest couldn't be around her colossal crotch goblin because hearing about the 500 pounds of trauma her neglect caused was triggering for her, but now that the trauma weight has Amber's uterus trying to make a run for it, Kristine feels fine being around her kid.

Less inclined to believe that Kristine wants to be there to support her dying daughter, more inclined to believe that Kristine wants to establish a relationship so it doesn't look as bad when she makes a grab for whatever money she thinks Amber will be leaving behind.
 
I thought Amber's mom was some sort of a trainwreck, but aside from being a FB boomer, she looks surprisingly normal. Nice teeth, especially for a former addict. Why the hell they never saw each other for so many years. Amber may not be able to fly, but she sure has money for a ticket.

Supposedly, Aunt Tammie kept Mom protected from Big Al while she was going through recovery, so as not to have Big Al create Issues. And it seems like Big Al made the usual half-assed attempts to reconnect with Mom, so there's that. Bunch of dysfunctional trailer trash crap.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Aunt Tammie (Kristine's sister) purposely keep her away from Amber while she was getting her life back together? While I do remain skeptical of Tammie's side of the story, I can believe that Amber is a manipulating, toxic little shit, and her enabling behavior would have likely caused her mom to regress.

The optimistic part of me really wants to believe that Kristine realized how much of a colossal fuck up she was during Amber's formative years and actually wants to be there for her kid. But, I don't think any of us would be surprised if she did come sniffing around for any cash Amber might leave behind.
 
She definitely has a weird family Kristine and Tammy almost come out it looking normal. Whilst she is trailer trash division what about in conjunction with Tammy's claim that Amber was the problem child with her brother. I don't know I can somewhat believe it especially with Casey's history and Destiny's. What about if Amber creates relationships where she thinks she can buy people but bruteforce her drama into it making them dependent to an extent e.g. Becky.
 
In all honesty I hope she at least can apologize to amber for how fucked up she was as a parent. You don't get two kids put into closed adoption relatively straight away for no reason.

I would hazard a guess and say that those are not her real teeth, but a set of false ones. She's too poor to have got a set of veneers to cloak her meth mouth.
My bet is that those pearly whites reside in a glass tumbler by the bed at night.
