It's a pathological narc trait. They can't back down, especially when someone challenges them aggressively. The person calling her out didn't mince words. Amber would have doubled down anyway, but the fact that she was challenged on SM by someone who had authority (person who knew how much the commission should be) made it impossible for her to back down. I don't blame the artist at all as I can see the insult, but you often have to approach a narcissist differently to get a better result. Maybe dm her and say something like "hey, you probably don't realize this, but I am a professional graphic designer, and this is the going rate." Fuck Amber, honestly, but if you have to work or live with someone like her, it is easier to change your approach if you need to get through to a know it all who is fucking up.

She definitely brags about how much she tips. During the Destiny era there was a time she posted a picture of her receipt and bragged about how she tipped more than the amount of the bill.
