Imagine the look on the interviewer's face if Becky ever decided to get her own job and submit her resume...

"So..... why exactly have you been unemployed for the last year?"
"Uhhhh...."
 
"Not amused", says the boulder wearing a sweater made of fat, trying to vaguely stir drama.

Are the floating hearts and sparkles supposed to indicate a casual grumpiness, or is she just incapable of any kind of useful communication?

Not that it really matters, since it's not like Becky qualifies for anything more than entry level minimum wage drudgery.

Man I guess it’s just hard for my mind to wrap around the fact that she thinks she could POSSIBLY do better than Becky. She said herself she hates going out in public now that she looks and feels the way she does everyday, I wonder how long it will take to find someone. She’s going to have to do some serious internet searching for someone new, and she’s not putting on makeup or doing her hair or even washing herself for longer than five minutes, let alone walking outside into the real world. I would think since she’s let herself go this badly that she’d take Becky as a last resort.

Although you’re probably right, the way she reacted to Becky “proposing,” and Becky initially said she thought AL would propose to her first, it probably won’t happen. AL seems so depressed with Necky, I think she loved Destiny so much cause Destiny was kind of all over her, constantly kissing and complimenting and loving on her. I don’t see Becky being nearly as affectionate, and that doesn’t feed her narcissism as well, so she’s unhappy. Amber started eating like four times as much after Destiny left her. I think she’s going to have to find someone who loves her as much as she loves herself. The nice side of me hopes that will happen just because it’s not always entertaining to watch someone so obviously depressed, but I just don’t know if anyone can love her for very long quite frankly, it’s quite clear she doesn’t love herself the right way.

it's not unusual for some people to take off of work to be a caretaker for a family member or a girlfriend or whatever AL is.

Yep. She has no education and no real marketable skills. She could use the 'ol sick family member excuse, I've know people to do that successfully. Of course, in their case they were professionals and it was the truth. She's qualified to work in a lumber mill. She couldn't even hack it at her current size. She's not presentable enough to work in an office. I don't think she owns a single garment that isn't a graphic tee or exceptional teenager chic. I don't know that she's employable regardless of the employment gap.

She's qualified to work in the stocking department at WalMart. She'd also get the added bonus of 10% off everything in the store outside of the grocery department.

Obviously the Cheesecake Factory. It’s the most romantic place. Al and Necky can take home some cheesecake afterwards and eat it off each other.

I was thinking more that she'd be able to get her graphic tee fix for cheaper, since if Becky actually gets a job, it's likely because Amber is out of the picture.
 
Becky could get a job at a funeral home or a morgue. She’ll feel at peace there and she’ll have more death stories to tell.

Though, the only jobs I could see her doing there are the cleaning and other mundane stuff that anyone who graduated high school can do. Even so, at least she’d be away from a screeching beanbag.
 
I think the only way any of these people will get an actual job is by someone doing them a favour(or pitying them) and giving them one.

But honestly they are unemployable in their current state, they wouldn't even hand out baskets at Wal*Mart because it would involve too much standing.
