I've never bought the "Becky had an accident as a kid" story. She does not seem to have any scarring, muscle damage, or any other visible signs of permanent injury that would be expected to accompany someone having their face rearranged.

However, I love the story anyway. Imagine being so ugly that your own girlfriend has to make up a lie about you to justify your appearance. "Oh, she looks like that because she smashed her face up" Like, thanks for covering for me, babe.

Yes, it is a bit of a sad life watching obese vloggers or TLC shows to make yourself feel better by comparison. But you know why it's effective in the first place?
Cause the life on display is sadder.

She will always have a sadder life than her audience because that's the exact reason her audience watches!

She is a hypocrite, she admitted to watching my 600 lb life last spring saying, she watched them so she doesn’t get to that point..

The difference between my 600lb life and AL is that my 600lb life usually has a happy ending, while AL’s life just keeps going downward.

I am not ashamed to admit that I am one of the dozens of people AL has inspired.

Not necessarily to lose weight (though that too). But if I catch myself making an excuse or bullshitting myself about anything, ever -- putting off getting my oil changed, returning an email, watering a houseplant -- I just think to myself, "What Would AL Do?" Then I do the opposite.

My life was never bad, but I gotta say this one weird trick has definitely made it better. At least she'll leave that much of a legacy.

It’s like that episode of Seinfeld where George did everything the opposite of what his instincts told him to do and his life improved ten fold.

AL is George Castanza. She needs to try that. Do the opposite of every thought and impulse that she has and she might survive to see her 30’s.
