I also don't think she would agree to any sort of shower scene, which is one of the things viewers like to see, or any candid shots of her legs. Also, don't you have to pay for the relocation and surgery yourself? It seems to me the people on the show have to completely upend their life to be on there.

On the other hand, Hamber is probably over 600.

Slatons are legitimately alot smaller then her last I checked. Which really is scary in a way. Slatons have way worse genetics.

Though Hamber isn't to far off from having an odd horrible body shape her self she can't even hide with clothing.

I read that they get they get $2,500 for relocation and $1,500 for casting. They get an additional stipend to do a shower scene. They do receive at least one year’s worth of free medical care from Dr. Nowzaradan, however, including the gastric bypass or gastric sleeve surgery.

The show apparently owns a lot of the housing shown. So I'm sure the rent is pretty cheap.

This has been discussed ad nauseam. Amber will not go on MHSPL for the following reasons:
  1. they wouldn't pay her enough
  2. she has to go to them, and Becky is too big a sped to get her there (also the axle of the car would break)
  3. there's a gag order during the filming, which would arrest her primary income source
  4. you have to lose weight to qualify for the surgery
  5. haven't you all been paying attention to her scintillating videos? Amber's hulthy, just big! Why would someone with runaway diabetes, a collapsing spine, and suicidal tendencies need medical attention?

Its even simpler than that: she won't go on the show because she would have to take accountability in front of the whole nation. Won't happen in private it damn sure won't happen on TV.
 
I actually think AL needs Becky more than Becky needs AL. Sure, the gravy train is nice for Becky, and she's too lazy to actually willingly want to go work again, but she's mobile, probably still in relatively okay health and has a history of employment, even if it's menial. More importantly, though, she has Eric and Ricky who can help navigate her through the post-breakup.

Who's AL have? Granted, when she and Destiny broke up, she did find Becky but that social circle of hers has shrank a great deal since the Destiny days. She's also 100+ lbs heavier than when she broke up with Destiny and, as we've seen from her videos, in far worse health. AL has no family. No legitimate friends outside her three roommates. No ability to drive herself, or even take care of herself. She's legit SOL if Becky decides to break up with her and the gays toss her out of the house to fend on her own.

I guess she could drag herself back to Florida and beg for mercy to Destiny and Dana but her options are limited here.
 
I hate it when people in the youtube comments tease that she's 610 pounds according to her fitbit app. I doubt it's true, but way to get me all hot and bothered.

Thanks to a number of deaths in the last 2 years, and a few weight losses, the current holder of the Guinness Book title for heaviest known living woman is Pauline Potter (who was on my 600 Pound Life, but regained), who currently weighs a relatively svelte 643 pounds.

What. This is either complete bullshit, or she actually has such a hoard of Torrid crap that she can't keep track. Either is ridiculous, but I'm leaning towards "pants were WAY too small, weren't made of stretch fabric and she'll never admit it." They were a size 6, I believe, the largest Torrid offers and had a button/zipper at the waistband instead of the usual elastic that "grows with her".

By the way, assholes: she's also seeing a therapist, an accountability coach, several specialists for her layygs, a piano teacher AND a personal trainer. But she's keeping that to herself because you guys can't be trusted with details about her personal life!!
No more weigh-ins for that matter, you'll just threaten and harass the scale manufacturer! But trust her, she's definitely losing weight!

Yes, Amber! Time to FINALLY learn to put yourself first. That's our gorl, constantly putting everyone else's needs and wants above her own: going to restaurants and movies she doesn't like, going above and beyond with household chores, making sure Becky's birthday wasn't overshadowed by anything else, supporting Eric in the hospital during his neutering.. What Amber needs is a "ME day" to get catered to and really focus on her OWN needs for a change!
