Anyway you all are missing the point of the smoker comparison. It's the smokers fault but no one would tell a smoker COPD patient not to use a scooter because they caused themselves to become disabled. It's a fair point. AL cannot walk far, therefore she is disabled. How she got that way is not really relevant. A lot of disabled people contributed to their condition in some way, the disabled person is already paying a high price for their decision so it doesn't seem necessary to try and exclude them from society. Exceeding the scooters weight capacity is a better argument for her buying her own or not going to walmart.

If I were the employee that had to call the regional or corporate office and try to explain that someone broke one of our scooters simply by sitting on it, I don't know if I would have any idea how to begin that conversation. Maybe "Hahaha guess fucking what"?

760lb capacity scooter my ass. I mean... how many 760+ pound people are going to the grocery store to do their shopping? At that point, the majority are bedridden and unable to move at all. Their enablers are the ones who bring the food.

"Looks like BED" like you can put a mental illness under a microscope, forget that it wasn't an official diagnosis in the DSM back when she was 16, the idea of doing a biopsy on Amber's brain and finding traces of orange chicken sauce in the sample to go "yup, looks like BED" is hilarious.

I don't remember Amber claiming she was diagnosed with BED. What I do remember is that she claimed to had been diagnosed as bipolar as a teen.

Sure, she pulled that number from her ass, but who, in their right mind, would come up with such a huge number? Amber really thinks it isn't that abnormal to weight more than 500lb.

Tbh, what Tammie did was crazy, and invasive of Amber's privacy. She had absolutely no right to do that (spare me with the worried aunt shtick. If she was such a caring person, she'd have taken Amber in when she was taken from her parents.)

She definitely did say at some point that she was diagnosed with BED as a teen because there was a thing about it not even being a recognized disorder back then. I'll look back and see if I can find it because I can't remember if it was a twatter, snap or on a video.

It was a video--which one I can't remember, but I DO remember looking up when BED was added to the DSM and found it was added rather recently, too recent for her to have been diagnosed as a teenager.

So she self-diagnosed with both bipolar and BED before getting evaluated for bolth/either.
 
Did anybody get a chance to watch Amberlards video posted today? It was mainly texts about her diagnosis. I watched it and then went back to read comments but it's gone.
