I've always felt pretty neutral about Beck and maybe even sympathetic in her health struggles but damn, how hard is it to just go on stream from your phone to chat a little and collect superchats even if you're bedbound recovering after surgeries? the lowest effort content would bring much more money than constant dry-begging. you were literally handed a channel with over 100k subs on a golden platter, and this is how you decide to (not) use it? cool

THIS! I was fairly neutral about beck until she started her community post begging arc. I'm also sympathetic to their current medical plight as I would be with mostly anyone elses. I just hate that they've been given such a great starting platform, something most people including Fat Amber didnt have, and is squandering it away in favor for posting their cashapp link for a smaller yet easier income.

Streaming isn't a difficult job. It can be done from a phone anywhere. Its just easier to beg and that's what bothers me about Beck.

Idk I haven't kept up with beck, but it's like "Hey do you want to go on a show where we make it a point to humiliate everyone there and to confront your abusive ex who's going to talk over you at every turn for about $500-$700?" Umm... no thank you. I don't have the time or energy to research the implications and make a good decision here, nor do I have the energy to deal with Amber.

I think many people get that, but it's not just basic "ew Becky dumb" hate.

People's frustration with Becky is that she's constantly been begging from people without anything in return since she broke up with Amber. She can't even make regular YouTube videos that aren't about Amber, but she expects people to give her thousands of money regardless.


Before she had her heart and thyroid cancer surgeries, she was begging severely which put so many people off in the first place.

She started a GoFundMe to get a car because she couldn't have a job for some reason (I forgot why she said she didn't have a job), then months later, she happened to get a "bad" car and needed more money. She expected people to give to her after giving her like $1,000+ for the car in the first place.


Before her health issues, she could've been making YouTube videos and making passive income in the background from people watching her old videos. She didn't and it's her fault. (Even with those real intense surgeries, she still would've been making some money post-surgery if she had a backlog of videos.)


like I said, I get you 100%. If I had an ex like Amber, fuck them! I'd never talk to or about them again. But I also wouldn't start a YouTube channel and get 150k subscribers that were from my ex.

Also, people do a lot of shit they don't want to do when they're broke. But if people are offering you $700 or even more… that could seem nice if she's that hard up.

She believes that if you've been harassed or targeted sexually, that makes you desirable (no one else who's not a piece of shit thinks this way). She's never been desirable in her entire existence, so that's why she says these things. Things she lies about excessively, the opposite is usually true.

I agree with that, I don't think Beck should touch the lolcow bus poo with a ten foot pole. I meant going live on their own channel and collecting superchats there (also some revenue from people who'd watch these streams on replay)

It's a little crazy ALR isn't getting a larger slice of the pie, considering she is unironically the star of the show. Bet that's eating her up inside.

They're not exactly the cast of friends. Is she just a terrible negotiator? Probably too lazy to negotiate more like it.
 
I’ve always felt that the best Becky has ever done on YouTube was when she was off camera reading a script. She’s not quick-witted enough to shine on livestreams, (neither is Amber, but she compensates by being loud and annoying) but if Becky could dig through the archives that have been uploaded here and do reactions—off screen, taking the opportunity to edit—she could do very well.
