They're stuck in a weird abusive power-trip dynamic where they both constantly try to outdo each other in terms of their sadism and cruelty. Emily wants to kill Amber with food and Amber wants to destroy Emily's reputation and ruin her life.
Emily does want to kill amber with food but amber doesn't want to ruin emilys life. Amber wants (or wanted) emily to come to her senses and be with amber. Amber always tries the middle school " can we just be friends" so she cant flaunt herself upgrading girlfriends and letting the ex watch her have the time of her life. Amber needs emily to need her, to just stop being stupid and just be with amber. Emily having all these accusations flung at her are ambers attempts to make not being her girlfriend a living hell.
I think at some level they both enjoy the power-high that comes with humiliating the other; with Amber, I think she takes a sick sort of pleasure from Emily riling her up and making her emotional, sort of like an adrenaline junkie.
They are both locked in that cycle of manipulation giving them a sense of safety or security. Its not adrenaline its two fucked up people trying to manipulate the other because thats what makes them feel safe and calm, they each cant be in a relationship unless they "have the upper hand" and surprise surprise its turned into an internet slap fight.
Considering Amber was following an IG account that had what some consider CSAM and her own questionable history of supporting pedophiles plus her history with Libby and potentially other girls younger than her, I’d go so far as to say her implying/accusing Emily of looking at CSAM is major projection on Amber’s part.
Amber loves being vague, it gives her undue sympathy points from strangers. "The worst thing ever" to amber would never be something outside of her own self interests, of course. Amber following an ig account that had csam is really par for the course with amber, but

Amber wouldnt willingly associate with a pedo jacking off to pedo shit because everyone around her says pedo shit is bad. An insta account with questionable stuff sure she can say she accidentally subscribed or she liked something they posted but totally didn't know it was like that... she cant claim ignorance if her soft gentle lover is the one doing it, thats bad for ambers PR. This moment of amber accusing emily I don't think really happened the way amber intended.
Ambers fucking stupid and I genuinely think that when she said she was looking at the worst thing ever she thinks like a middle school kid who has a crush on a boy and finds out that boy is passing notes to another girl in class. Devastating- for her. Amber says the worst thing ever and its her version of it. Any normal rational person says the worst thing ever and of course its gonna mean something actually awful not just ambers stunted level of awful.
The look of confusion on her face was genuine and she was fully in her middle school feelings and forgot that real life real awful things exist. Her getting a dose of reality in that moment doesnt at least for me equal she tried to imply cp.
There's no way she is gonna imply something like that without making sure shes not even remotely responsible. "Why didnt you report it and call the police?" Is gonna be the next question everyone asks if amber actually implied that and the audience would turn on her. Emily wasn't unhinged enough so amber cant find a shield big enough to hide her from an accusation that she'd do nothing if children were in danger like that.
