I think big AL has been pretty active recently with blocking critical comments on youtube, because in the "old days" the top 10 comments would be exposing Amberlynn for stealing someone else's narrative without credit.

This is fantastic lmao, her "matted depression bun" story logic just didn't make sense--as usual.
She can take the time/had the energy to dress nicely (as nice as she can dress lesbereal), put on make up, and take selfies on snap basically all day AND film herself almost daily...but she's too depressed to brush her hair after washing it? I don't know man.
I don't doubt she's depressed, like fuck if I were 500 lbs I'd be downright miserable, but the parallels in AL's spontaneous depression story and that viral article are just too convenient for me to dismiss.
EDIT: I read the above link about the matted depression hair, and I had read a story similar about a hair stylist who helped a woman with this hair problem. It's been going viral as well. I'm sure AL will deny and block if anyone confronts her though:

So I haven't had time to complete in depth research, but this is the first video I came across with the hairstyle she mentioned. Is IS pretty nappy, though we do know she is lazy. You can catch glimpses of the side/back throughout the video. I'm still unclear on the whole thing, but she for sure wasn't washing it.

Good point- I also remember her saying she doesn't brush it and it takes like an hour to brush (probably because she can't keep her arms up for that long). I just don't believe it was as dramatic as she acted like it was and I don't believe it's a coincidence that she suddenly came out about the depression bun w/ the viral articles right after the Dana thing, but I do think she doesn't wash it as much as she makes it seem.
Not to mention it's nearly impossible to wash long, thick hair when it's matted/knotty like she insisted.
The depression video, to me, was an exaggerated tactic to manipulate people into feeling sorry for her and and garner pity after the whole screenshot thing.

At 5:00 our favorite ham talks about how she was contacted by TLC to be on a weight loss show but she decided not to do it because she didn't want to embarrass herself on tv for money cause that's just not who she is.
I wonder if she even knows all the stuff she says. It's like so many have pointed out before. She has no idea who she is. On one hand it's sad, but then on the other hand she's so manipulative and knows exactly what she's doing.

Yeah, she doesn't brush her hair because she physically can't. Her arms are so heavy and her fitness so low, it exhausts her. I doubt she can even properly reach.
If you've reached that level of depression where you can't even comprehend basic hygiene and grooming, it's life consuming. You don't put on a full face of makeup to go on daily jaunts to Walmart for fucking hair accessories then sit around taking SnapChats in Applebee's whilst your carers look on mortified.

I'm no human psychology expert, but I wouldn't be surprised if she really was and still is depressed... Or maybe depressed is not the most correct term, but there is some sort of mental issue. In the beginning stages of all her relationships, she is always on her toes and careful not to unleash too much of her instability / problems to her partner, but then when she got too comfortable and latches on too hard, she became a clingy mess. So they break up, big AL is left alone, ever more depressed but pretending to be gorlfriend #goals until she catches another person. Becky seems to be a difficult host for AL to leech on to, from what it seems like though.
On a serious note, mental health is no joke, so she should stop the pity party and seek professional help. If she stopped buying her hideous Walmart chokers and earrings, she'd have more than enough money. I remember she had a whole trunk of jewelry zip locked away when she was packing to move to Kentucky, I don't know how someone can spend so much $$ on jewelry, especially since all her necklaces and earrings look exactly the same.

I'm a poor foster kid with issues sounds better than I overfed myself to the point of barely functioning without a careraker. If only she'd put that much effort into changing all the things she is ashamed about, she'd never have to lie at all.

I don't think she's depressed-instead, she's desperate. Desperate for love and acceptance and attachment-things she didn't get as a child.
She's trapped in a horrible body and as much as she says she knows how to lose weight, she won't do what's necessary. She eats to make herself feel better for the few minutes her stomach is full, she shops to make herself feel better until the trinkets get boring shortly after, and she makes videos to get asspats for nothing.
But she feels unsatisfied. In her mind, she's screaming into the void and she thinks nobody hears her. "Like a monster truck in the nightlife. " lol.
She doesn't understand that we do hear her. We can smell the desperation on her-for love, acceptance, admiration. But she won't do the one thing that would really start to earn it-and that's lose weight. That's the thing we see and the thing that is the most dangerous and troublesome. We know when she loses it she'll be getting better in other ways too.
Losing 350 pounds is hard and admirable and nobody can say otherwise. Getting the weight off would be the first step she needs to understand how her childhood affected her, but she likely needs therapy to do it.
But right now it's too hard, so she does all this other unsatisfying crap. She calls it depression but I think it's just being desperate to be what you aren't. Ultimately, nothing she does will bring her peace until she loses the weight and understands why she put it on in the first place.
