I got to thinking about how all these exes of Amber's can't seem to let it go, and I remembered something that happened in my social circle a couple decades ago.

(forgive me while I pause to recover from the realization of how old I am)

In my group of friends, some that had been buddies since high school and college, there was one guy who went a bit off the rails in a way that none of us was willing to tolerate, so we had to push him out and close ranks. As far as I know he went on to find other people to bother but even now none of us would entertain the notion of letting him come back around.
How does this relate to Amber and the rest?
Sometimes the topic of that former friend will come up, and it will start us all reminiscing of the good times and how bad things got, and if the ones that were burned the worst by him are present they will break out the tales of what they saw, as if it happened yesterday. Emotions around those days are intense.

I think maybe trauma sets itself deep in the brain sometimes, maybe to act as a warning light if the same danger shows itself again. There-a-pea isn't a great idea to try erasing it since it's part of a survival instinct.

Of course all of these people who have experiences with Amber could just be trying to latch onto her YouTube audience for money, but in this economy I kinda don't blame 'em.

RE: Last night's livestream... Just some things I want to put down in case some lurking or non-kiwis don't know these stories from the Destiny and Becky eras...

1. AMBER DID NOT BUY BECKY A CAR.

Becky already had a car. Amber didn't like it because it didn't have air conditioning (no way is the DIVINE BOVINE gonna ride in a car in the heat of Kentucky winter summer without A/C). They went to a used car lot and picked out another too-small car for Amber to bottom out while riding in like the scrub she is. They used Becky's car trade in as the down payment, and signed a really bad deal of a car loan for like a million years or something (like 8 or 9), because the monthly payments were so low. Amber claimed that a few days later they realized it and Beck went to the dealership to try and change the terms, but it was too late. Still, Amber didn't do anything to try and make more payments to clear the debt faster, nor put any more money into it than the bare minimum for maintenance (oil changes), to try and extend it's life. 4 years later when they broke up, Becky got left with a car in her name that was on the verge of dying from the stress of hauling the PORCINE QUEEN, AND still owed the majority of the loan value (which was FAR MORE than the vehicle's trade in/scrap value). If Becky were smart (*snort*), she should have walked away from the car and left it for Amber to deal with (her mechanic nephew could have hooked her up with some shitbox for a few hundred bucks that could have lasted her until she had enough for a better shitbox)... But Becky's not really smart - and I have a feeling that the car was in her name the entire time.

I'm not writing this to try and give or take away blame from Becky... I'm just putting it out there that Amber did NOT "BUY" Becky a car. Becky sold her car and Amber made minimum payments for 3-4 years on a different shitbox in order to have a vehicle to be carted around in. And then Amber walked away clear while Becky ended up shouldering a substantial debt (substantial given her financial situation) from this "gifted car".

2. AMBER HAS HER OWN BANK ACCOUNT(S)

Back in the Destiny Era, one of the first things we saw was Destiny taking Amber to the bank to be added onto Destiny's account. As soon as she and Destiny broke up, Amber's audience was worried about Destiny having access to Amber's money. Amber responded in a video that as soon as they broke up, Amber changed her information on YouTube to have her adsense check deposited "into MY account". Amber's M.O. has been to become joint on her partner's accounts so she can monitor and control their money while keeping her banking private. I have no idea what Becky's talking about regarding Amber having a private bank account within Becy's bank account that they were joint on. I'm assuming that Becky meant that Amber had her own account that was connected in the sense that Amber could see both on HER portal (and Becky could only see the joint account) and Amber could transfer money back and forth between the two accounts as she pleased... You know, REGULAR banking (but maybe I'm missing something due to having no experience with the Burger-Banking system). Anyway, it's the same she did with Destiny, and it's the same as with the cellphones, where she would constantly scour her partner's phones while not letting them see hers.

Also, lol at her trying to convince her audience that she was controlling enough to constantly monitor Becky's cellphone, set timers, restrict what YouTube content Becky watched, and wouldn't even let her have a private chat with the retarded muppet and the Gary Busey impersonator... but she was absolutely chill about putting 5-figure paychecks into the account on a monthly basis without being able to see where it was landing or what was happening with it. Again, 2/10. Lie better, Ambo.

My understanding was that therapy isn't supposed to erase anything. I've had it explained to me like, your personal human experience is like a giant wastebasket. Stuff happens, and it's represented as crumpled up paper being tossed in. Eventually, we get to a point where the basket is overflowing. We can't see or process any of it (it's all crumpled up), and it's spilling over so we can't hold in any more. Therapy supposedly takes each paper one by one, and uncrumples it. It can then be processed and stored properly. Once all of the papers are smoothed out and organized, they'll all fit in in the basket with lots of room to spare. The feelings don't go away, but become more manageable.

It doesn't help that sick people like Amber (and Becky.. and Casey?) choose to constantly re-traumatize themselves and continue to make themselves more helpless and mentally ill for pity and/or to take advange of people instead of learning how to make themselves stronger or more resilient against stressors. I'm not saying that the right way is easy, but the way people like them do it only make things worse for themselves (and the people around them).

Amber’s been stuck in this Eugenia Cooney-esque twilight zone where she’s still a quirky, fun 19/20 year old with her life ahead of her, surrounded by cheap crap that you save up to buy in a tiny, my-first-real apartment.
Most of us by Amber’s age have goals, family, property, career, retirement plan….
It could have worked out for her if she had managed to keep a grip on Jade or Emily.
