Not only do they need their claws for defense, , but declawing doesnt only remove their claws, which in itself would be horrible enough-imagine if someone gave you an operation to remove your fingernails-but a declawing procedure removes the top part of the cat's toes past the knuckle bone. Even after they recover from the initial operation, they often can never walk right again and even kitty litter under their feet can be uncomfortable or even painful for the rest of their lives. Declawing is cruel to the point of being sadistic and unless its done for medical purposes, such as a congenital or injury caused deformity of the cat's paw, I think it should be outlawed.

Rarity still has her claws. Amber barely spent the money to get her fixed. All her ex's said she never spent a dime more than she was forced to with her pets. So they never had current vaccinations, checkups, anything. Destiny went and bought the vaccines and gave them to Twinkie at one point.

Poor Rarity is alone, in the cold, without up-to-date anything and Amber can't be fucked to move around to look for her. All she had to do was just keep them inside and safe. That's it. Good to hear she hasn't been declawed, but it sound like the only good news so far. I truly hope Rarity is all right. The an almost best case scenerio would be if someone who loves cats and truly takes the time to care for them ,picked her up, thinking she was a lost stray and took her home, which is quite possible since she apparently didnt have a collar or microchip. This would likely mean that we wouldn't know what happened to her which would be sad for us, but it would still be best for Rarity. The absolute best case for all of us would be if someone took her home, but knew who amber was, so they anonymously i published a picture of Rarity, being well cared for, indoors but in a photo where the person and their home couldn't be identified.

I especially hate how she tried to BLAME THE CAT for getting out. "Rarity is the most adventurous cat ever". No she's NOT; she's just a normal cat (Wasabi by comparison is very docile). If she were adventurous, she would have torn open window screens in the previous homes and knocked items from the shelves and countertops to go exploring. Cats become fixated with things they're supposed to stay away from, especially if it's on the other side of a closed door that's now suddenly open and unattended. It's just their nature. They're also very neurotic creatures, quick to panic. And they aren't pack animals, like dogs. If something spooks them, they'll often bolt and hide. They won't even think to return to their human for protection. (I also suspect that Rarity has lost some trust in her human, based on the amount of upheaval and insecurity Amber's caused the pets - making it even more likely that she would run and try to go it on her own).

If purely indoor cat Rarity wanted to explore the outdoors, it should have been supervised - ideally while on a harness and leash because cats can run faster, jump higher, and climb better than people can, and can get into places you'll never even think of. If they panic and bolt, you will NOT be able to catch them until THEY decide it's time to stop running. And that's with a NORMAL human. Amber is barely mobile. Thinking that Rarity never bolted when they lived in Kentucky makes it okay for her to be around open doors in their new home in Wisconsin is the height of her self-absorbed ignorance and negligence. Though to be honest, I think this part of the story is also bullshit, and Amber's is again trying to blame the cat and justify her own laziness and lack of caring.

If she spent ANY time actually caring for her pets instead of spending every waking molmunt worrying about what strangers might be saying about her online, maybe she would have figured all of that cat stuff out before it was too late. (And yeah, I'm calling it; either this is all a hoax by Amber for engagement, or Rarity has already become something's dinner).

I 100% think this is it. Emily is tired of all the drama and how it’s impacting her and her “mental health” and was on the verge of putting Amber out. Amber lost a pet so that now not only shouldn’t she leave in case the pet comes back, but after listening to her original video about it a few times on different reaction channels? She makes it so much about how “Tommy” is, how Tommy loveD the cat, how Tommy helped with the flyer and calling Rarity’s name, how Amber’s heart can’t take ONE MORE THING, how she wouldn’t be able to get through this without Tommy. I don't live in her area but where I am, hawks are by far more prevalent. A couple of years ago one perched on my balcony railing right outside my door. I just about crapped myself, they're terrifying up close.

It's also a running joke on a local community page that we're being overrun with coyotes because those fuckers are everywhere.

A pack of coyotes went through our neighborhood a few months ago and laid waste to almost 2 dozen cats and small dogs. Sadly my indoor cat was one of them; damned fool picked the wrong day to escape.
