I do not understand how she felt unsafe that someone took a "pitcher" of her. Did she get some vibe they were going to attack her? The married man? She really think they going to grab her and throw her in the trunk? The fuck would the logistics be of that? Was it a team consisting of a forklift operator, tow truck with a winch and a backhoe? Oddly the thing that is killing her (fat) is also working as somewhat of a shield to protect her. Maybe she thought they were going to throw sandwiches at her which is more plausible and you could get away with that at a laundromat I suppose.

I actually was kind of digging the imaginary friends arc, I think she should stick with it. It is nice to see her getting out. Only addition I would say is, maybe get some hand puppets to talk to about Dr. Pepper or the proper dryness of chicken. But you have to do this in public, it's not quirky or cute to do it your apartment.

Complaining endlessly about getting caught in public is only going to embolden her enemies against her. I would highly prefer if she continued going out and showing us the flashing lights of the local Dave and Busters. She's ruining that for herself. The loonies will continue to get candid photos and slowly escalate the more times they get a reaction.

This is part of the yearly weight loss resolution circle. Every year, she sets a weight loss goal, then by the second month it falls apart. Then she states all the reasons in the world why it did not happened. This year it is the lymphedema, which she has so far refused to have treated. Her goal is to tell everyone that she is on a weight loss journey without losing any weight..

Notice she only feels "threatened" when someone takes a real picture of what she looks like in the wild. She's never complained for felt threatened about the imaginary fans who she says she's taken selfies with in the past or the supposed drunk guys in the casino hitting on her or trying to get her number. Just like with everything else in Amber's life, if a person doesn't do something that paints her in the most positive light she can't handle it and tries to pull the mental hulth card.
