I doubt she’s even making enough money to live in California, let alone fitting in. Any of the places she thinks she wants to go are not cheap.
I fully agree and I would go even further. She is living in a complex where she has available to her, a lot of restaurants, coffee shops and retail stores, such as Whole foods, Shake Shack, Sephora, there is a large pool, a fitness studio, and other services within walking distance. She is using absolutely none of the services, pool, etc. She gets all her food delivered. This is the the type of flat that is designed for 20 and 30 year old people. She may as well living in a hovel; she would not do anything different, except paying less rent.

How can this be true when she swam in that amoeba filled lake during the gaycare era in leggings and a shirt and probably spent weeks afterwards with a UTI? Has she gone on record saying she finds swimming pools gross? I mean, they kind of are, yeah, but that's what the chlorine is for. How can she be so selectively dainty when it comes to squeamishness and hygiene? She has gone months without bathing multiple times.
Nonsense. We've seen her go up and down stairs just a few months ago in one of her failed plans to convince Wipey she was serious about exercising.
I agree that it would be difficult for her to get in and out, but why renting a flat with one? All the amenities are paid through the rents of the complex. She could have found something cheaper. I think a lot of morbidly obese people lives in the alternate reality that think they can do everything an able body can. The law of physics, biology and economics do not seems to affect them in this reality.

Very true. I suspect she's dragging her feet on the move anyway because she said at the beginning they have to move in maybe "3 or 5 months" which sounds like she doesn't really care and is waiting on the right victim to slip into her DMs. She knows damn well there is a deadline here (or she should). IIRC, that lease is up in either August or September at the latest. Then she mentioned that her and Jade had a serious talk about the move, which tells me that Jade basically told Amber to get her shit together because she's not waiting around in Kentucky for another year while Amber throws purses in a box and calls it a day. Jade probably did agree to drive her to her new hovel, so I'm sure she's hoping to be done with it as soon as possible.
100% of "quirky" Amber is to cover up her inability and embarrassment at doing anything. Amber's main driving force (other than the need to hoover down food) is to control how others view her. Her insecurity is so great that it drives her to spout a constant stream of bullshit and lies so that she can maintain and control the narrative. Only thing is that she's so fucking retarded that most people can see right through it and it just comes off as pathetic and sad at best and rage inducing at worst. The slightest threat to this narrative can send her into a tailspin and she'll instantly start playing victim to compensate and regain control.
