Take it with a grain of salt as I got this from the comments of a reactor (I think Alex is Shook). Apparently someone in the Narc Alerts community saw her at Kentucky Bariatric Institute.Did we ever figure out/establish which clinic Amber was working with? From what I remember, there are only a couple in Lexington. We could probably tell a lot about what’s true and what isn’t just by looking into how the programs work at each practice. Hell, I’m sure the educational seminar she went to is available as a video/stream online as a lot of these super morbidly obese patients are close to, if not completely immobile. Even someone as “able bodied” as Amber can’t drive. I wonder if the seminar describes the program in detail? It could just be education on the surgical options but I’d imagine they tell you what you’d need to do to get to that point as well.
They offer seminars. From their website:
Once insurance review is complete a member of our staff will contact you to set up an appointment for an evaluation. When you attend a seminar at our facility, you will have the opportunity to speak with any number of our Bariatric Staff, including our Surgeon, Dr. Eric Smith; Heather Pile PAC Dietitian, Cindy Jester Caywood, MS, RD, LD; and Insurance Coordinator, Jennifer Morris. Or, you can call us at 502.570.3727 to schedule a live seminar.
Narc has some of the more aloggy haydurs community from what I’ve seen, so it could be true but it could also just be made up for attention.
