I really am curious how her quest for stimulants will go. They're highly regulated, as I've said previously, but they require close monitoring by a psychiatrist (not an MD or ER doctor, psychologist or therapist, as
@mythical mother stated earlier). She's known to be non-compliant with her meds and I honestly can't imagine her getting anything beyond a simple ritalin, which doesn't offer much relief (for actual ADHD symptoms, not her made up ones).
I'm going to assume she's going to try to get vyvanse, which is not only expensive (over $300 for a month supply as there is no generic), but it's also the only medication prescribed to help both ADHD symptoms and binge eating because stimulants
should curb appetite, but as it's been said previously by many of us at this point: Amber does not eat out of physical hunger. She has a psychological
want to eat. She could be on all the stimulants in the world and it wouldn't put a dent in her eating pattern, and I'm going to assume she thinks more is more, as with everything. Fun fact, the higher dosage of stimulants you take beyond what is required to manage symptoms, the less they're effective and will just circle back around to where you started (for people with
actual ADHD that is).
TL;DR Amber is fat and will always be fat and will die fat.
