There are no facts where Fatty's concerned. She's claimed to be 5' 1'', 2'' and 3'' at various times. I don't think even she knows what lahs she's goeen to spew at any given molment. Best just to go with her being 5 feet tall and her admitting to 500.0 of her precious elbees (which I still think is 100 pounds less than her real weight).
There are no facts in the Amberverse, her 'truth' is fluid and can be anything at any given time.
Why would she lah about the smallest, most ridiculous things? Look at it her way - Why wouldn't you lah? It reinforces the idea in her narc brain how much more intelligent and superior she is compared to the rest of us; that she can fool us all.

I think she wanted to in the very-very beginning. But, once she found out how much work it was, she kept up the facade and made it her whole personality instead of getting help.
