I wouldn't say well researched. It's just recapping what Big Al claims to be the truth, and her grasp on that with her fat balloon hands is untenable at best. I would say that for a moment, I didn't realize who was speaking in that first video bit. It isn't just her weight that got outrageous over the years.

ETA: I'm only referring to her personal legend there. The physical truths we saw with our own eyes when she'd lie about something (or see those rare truths when she told them).

With all respect, is there a more accessible means of getting the Amber lore? The guy has obviously had to sit through an obscene amount of our gorl which I think is commendable compared to most channels that just at best cover Casey, something about Destiny + Becky, and rant about meaningless drama. Toad McKinley's Chantal video is an excellent means to getting an overview of Chantal (at least everything that occurred pre-breakup with Bibi) and if this achieves something similar then its a very useful series if for nothing other than reference.

I'm subbed to this guy as I follow the Delray Misfits, a freak show akin to a real life Always Sunny in a gym in Florida. The whole thing is a giant mess, incredibly disorganised and regularly the victim of members carrying out DFEs. While an incomplete text summary has existed for a good time, it is still great for someone to document it in this form I feel.

I'm speaking in the sense of original research. I always respect people who recap her bullshit, especially for something like this, which requires deep diving into her (mostly benign) early videos. It's a chore to slog through that, and I give him props for that. For some reason I had the thought in my head that maybe there would be something that everyone had missed for whatever reason, or something more about the part of her life before YouTube (BYT), either finding something new she'd never talked about, or refuting something she'd claimed. It may be because I'm watching both Spotlight and The Post again for something I'm working on, so ignore me, and apologies for not saying straight up I give kudos to him for going through nightmare-inducing crap (because I do, especially for longer-form vids like this). It's a good summary of what has gone before, if anyone needs a refresher or because they're just now finding Big Al and want to know what the deal is with her.

The only way she could ever lose weight is if she were forcefully confined in a place that controlled her access to food completely and gave her simultaneous psychological care.

In most cases I've seen, people who are obese like ALR or Chantal ignore the "lowest point" that happens before the point of no return.

But the problem is something is broken and unless that void that is filled by food normally is not filled with something else, the cycle just starts again. It all ends like Lady Di from the O&A days for addicts.

Lady Di was a deathfat but her addiction was alcohol. The commonality is that ALR, Chantal, and Lady Di are all developmentally stunted, and fill their emptiness with alcohol and gross food, until they can't work. Eventually Lady Di drank so much she got dementia and her brain started shrinking, which destroyed her mind.

This is why watching ALR and Chantal is horrifying and frustrating if you want to be "the optimist".

The difference is only radio vs internet. food vs liquor. Same shit different day.

That's pretty optimistic - thinking that Amber would participate in any real psychological program to address her issues.

I imagine that her situation would be like anyone off of MSHPL who fails - she'll drop a little bit of weight if she's forcibly committed to a hospital then as soon as she's released, she's going to skip appointments/lie to the doctor/gain the weight back. Losing 50 pounds because she's forced to is going to give her the undeserved validation that she can totally do it by herself and doesn't need help. Hell, she was taking credit for losing weight when she had CANCER until recently.

Now, we all think Amber is a shit person. Not debatable, total garbage person. But if we were to commit to her being a full blown narcissist, therapy wouldn't necessarily help anyway - therapy for personality disorders (hell, therapy in general) generally isn't super effective if the person isn't interested in actually being helped. It takes a level of personal reflection and responsibility that Amber absolutely will not take.

The Delray Misfits were an entertaining group of individuals, but it seems like they faded away some time ago. A few of them died, some moved away and many of others just don't work out together anymore. The Misfits' youtube channel is still up, but doesnt upload often. The most recent video was posted this past summer and was only about the sad news that Big Richard died. Some of them might still be active on social media, but as a cohesive group, they appear to be no more. The only one who still seems to have a semi high profile these days is Big Lenny, who has his own channel and live streams fairly regularly.

The group was already more or less on the decline by the time I started following them a few years ago, so I missed the golden era of the misfits, but it's still interesting to look back on their antics, so I'll have check out this guy's channel and his videos about them.

There's another name from the past. Good ole Lady Di, she was a hopeless alcoholic, but an entertaining guest. The week she interned for O and A was awesome radio. Her friend Marion was a total waste of space though....it was almost impossible to listen to the show when she was on.
Di seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. I know she wound up with alcohol induced dementia and was placed in a care facility a few years back. Last time she was on the air, she thought she was still in the navy about to ship out to ports unknown. A few years later her son was asking for donations to help her out, but everything seems to have gone silent after that. I havent heard that she died, so I assume she's she's still alive, but where she is or what shape she's in is anyone's guess, though I would assume she's not doing too well .

Yeah, I know this post was off topic, but ALR has become so fucking boring and irrelevant lately, there's just nothing of interest that can even be said about her.

Her channel is dying out slowly. At last check, for the last 30 days, she had only 997,411K views, so she is now under 1M views. The average view for her last 5 videos is 51.2k views. She can't afford to take a holiday.

That's not dainty, she wont seriously lean into her feeders. They are merely good fans who give her money and support her. If they do anything too outlandish like ask for feeder shit directly i bet she goes "like whuttt" and ignores it. She doesnt know what to do. She fails vlogmas, cant keep a schedule and now cant afford not to but also is too dumb to make up ideas for her own channel. Best way to catch up on amber lore- Go back and watch the videos. It’s time consuming (most of us have been watching amber for years) but why buy the cow if you get the melk for free? Go for the teat
