Can I just... How is a 500 pound human "fluctuating" with weight? According to her totally true food journals she's eating HALF her maintenance calories. Remember that Biggest Fatty show from back in the day where they'd force the planets to do that and they'd lose like 20 pounds in a week? But sure Hamber, you're so dainty and totally on track, gorl.

this is the reason for the santisation though. obviously amber is falling from grace with her views dropping more and more but in the event that she gets an up swing through another viral video somehow jade wants everyone to see a happy nice girl without many problems who deals with her weight in a healthy way. so the ambabies new and old will see a fun fat girl liveeng life in that cookie cutter facebook way.

i agree with the posters saying she probably wants to be a health/life coat ala my thoughts will probably offend you on youtube. not revealing herself until amber miraculously loses xx amount of pounds is smart because if it falls through she can go find another death fatty who will let her move in and try again. one with more of a chance of it happening, you'd assume.

amber is the golden cow though, with a 7+ year history of diet failures and 600lbs to get through. if someone could make her lose even half of that weight without dr now or surgery then any fat worth their sodium will come flocking to jade for the answers. she just wants to see if its possible first.

i also think that the more sanitised amber becomes the more likely she will get sponsers/etc in jade's mind which is money and notoriety that she will need when marketing herself as a life coach. she's playing the long game, and it probably won't work, but i guarantee she's betting on it.

Honestly I believe she’s one of the many people who know how to operate a computer and think that makes them geniuses. She convinced our gorl that she can be her “manager” or whatever, that she’d be able to clean her image and bring her back to making real money. It would explain the whole “girlfriend” thing better than just a carer situation type deal - she might have thought that an unseen girlfriend might be more interesting than a new roommate (which obviously backfired, just to prove she’s a complete amateur).

Or maybe she’s just a wiper who let Amber say she was the new girlfriend out of pity, not realising she would be doxed in .5 seconds.

The probability of Amber losing a significant amount of weight and not regaining is very small, less than 2%. The diet industry is based on that fact. They will tell you how to lose weight but will not help you to maintain it. It is not called yo-yo dieting for no reason. For Amber, losing 300-350 pounds with no medical intervention is impossible.

if Amber wants to reach 200 pounds from 500 pounds in 2 years, she would need to eat no more than 1,200 calories per day. I do not believe that Amber or anyone else could do it. It is too few calories for too long. So instead she is hoping to go from 500 pounds to 450. This will not improve her health outcome, and she is likely to gain all the weight back by Christmas.
 
I don't know what Jade's motives are, except that they're not virtuous. The coach angle doesn't make as much sense to me, seeing as the optics on this are horrible. Reaching out to a super morbidly obese Youtuber under false pretenses, pretending you are genuinely interested in them and know nothing of their 'fame', and then immediately becoming extremely controlling. The way she said Amber WILL experiment with guys, a known lesbian, does not look good to anyone, let alone the immediate insistence on sharing her. Then, she moves in, in record time and takes over the woman's apartment,, to the point that she moves out of her own room - keeping in mind she contacted her when she'd be most vulnerable and down, actively going through a break up. How does such a person come out the hero in this situation? Because she helped her lose some weight? So did a throat infection and cancer. I'm not saying this to paint Amber as a victim, all of this was her choice, I'm just saying how this looks. This isn't exactly a feel good story to advertise someone's services. Perhaps that's why Amber tried to retcon Jade's history with her and pretend to be single. Jade probably realized the whole back story is problematic and sketchy.

I disagree. I think she wants to be a social media PR specialist type thing. She wants a career in turning around channels that are dying, or have horrible reputations. She wants a high paying job as a fixer. See, if she can turn around the reputation and channel of "the most hated person on the Internet" imagine what she can do for you!
