There's a different between genuinely being offended, and making a joke about someone saying something stupid.
What would they say? They'd be calling for her fucking head. Just look at any social media site for evidence lol.

They don't lynch without a point to use as a cudgel. I could see some rants about 'racial ignorance', but nobody has tried to get views with one yet afaik. All it takes is for one to break the glass ceiling so that everyone knows they won't get challenged for going after her, and then the flood gates will open. They really are that insecure.

I'm curious to know how big the trend was on tiktok tho, because that may change my opinion. I'm working under the assumption that they all got recommended this stuff by the algorithm, rather than it making the front page.

We would play magic the gathering and the son of a bitch had a deck that we later learned was full to the brim of things that were either completely banned or available only in historic.

There were some kids nearby who played too and needless to say he fucking demolished them.

Honestly not that bad as far as coworkers go as long as you didn't step on one of his political landmines. I remember getting bitched at because I said movies like get out were sheer racebait revenge/horror porn and it would be more entertaining for the writer to let loose and make a slasher movie.

The issue is, you're talking about what could happen. I'm talking about what's actually happened so far.
And so far, it's just been jokes about a fat girl saying "blackie" and black people giving her the side eye.
If they wanted to actually try to cancel her or whatever, they wouldn't hesitate to try. Like you said, they're really that insecure. I think that if they were actually offended, they'd be putting her through the ringer.

They would imo. They want to ensure their opinion is part of the majority. If them outrage mobbing hurts their rep, they won't do it. Until the light is green, they'll all be shaking their cars in anticipation.

They don't need a green light. And I just disagree that someone making a joke about racism (vs. just flat accusing someone of being a racist) means they're offended and being passive aggressive. That's retarded.

I remember when (5-6? years ago) I first saw an article about facial recognition being used in Chinese public restrooms to cut down on paper towel waste. It would only give each person so many paper towels.

Everyone said that it was silly to think such a system could be abused, and it’s just paper towels, right?

Fast forward and your social credit score determines where you can travel and live, how you can travel, etc. Hell, they started showing footage of debtors before films instead of just showing trailers.

It went from 0-100 real quick.

It always starts so simple… use it on something innocent like paper towel distribution, normalize it, then accelerate it.
