I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I actually think that it's heartening that so many folks here don't understand why Beck didn't just leave, because it's clear that you're secure and strong enough to have never really been in a situation with a narc partner. It makes absolutely no sense from the outside, and it's great that you've never been in that position.

So she's admitting to taking a couple of beside baths in all of 2019, right? She said Becky only brought her the water and soap "a few times" and she did that because Amber couldn't fit into the shower, so that means she didn't take a proper shower for a year and probably longer, until she lost weight from cancer. So years. She didn't have a shower for years.

Don't forget she didn't bathe when she lived with Destiny and her mom.

IMHO I think a sink bath and bed bath can be plenty sufficient in place of a shower. But only if done right. She can't do that herself. She is never cleaning properly. There are spots that probably haven't been washed since she was under 300lbs

Of the 2 times Amber was 600 lbs (2019/2021) she only needed Becky to wipe her the 2nd go around just because the hysterectomy? So the in 2019 was a stick involved, but after surgery she just had Becky do it? It’s very interesting that the wiping ceased when Jade arrived.

Plenty of people who have stayed in shitty situations will say "why doesn't she just leave" about others. I know women in decades-long abusive marriages who will scream "why doesn't she just leave!!!" about others so loudly, the irony is comical.

It's just easier to see other people's problems than to see your own sometimes.

Honestly, I try to understand how someone who was bed bound, shitting in a bucket, having to be cleaned like a baby because as an adult I failed to moderate my calories or vices. I just can not understand how someone who developed uterine cancer and was bleeding out would not turn around their life to try and get better. I think it’s sad that this story is all just padding until Hamber gets a disease that won’t go away,
