Creepy! This question is more for our sister farmers, but if you know chime in. Is there an age limit on high pony’s and loud ‘tinker bell’ esque makeup? Amber looks like she’s dressing in a style meant for children. Maybe I’m outta touch.
I think it's the combination that is startling. High ponytails aren't bad but combined with her poorly applied makeup she comes off desperate for a youth her health has robbed her of. If she actually took care of herself and knew how to do makeup I think this look wouldn't have been so bad. She used big bold eyelashes and liner that made her eyes smaller and aged herself. I've seen older ppl wear bold makeup and similar hair styles and pull the look off but Amber just doesn't edit herself down enough or take care of herself to do so.

I can't even look at amber anymore for some reason people like her and tammy Slaton make me sick. they are just monstrous globs of lard. Cant Wait For Her And Dustys Fridge To Do A OF Collab!!

IIRC, she said in her most recent video that she does have insurance now.

Yeah, I heard her mouth those words, too. But knowing her history, it's plausible she views that reduced pay thing as "insurance" in the sense everyone else means when they say it. Don't get me wrong, I hope she does have actual insurance, because everyone should. But it's a sorry state of affairs that anything she says has to be taken with a planet-sized salt lick because of her pathological lying.

I thought I misheard her say that, but I still don't believe she does have it. I mean, she hasn't uploaded anything talking about 'how she had to look through all these different plans' or 'how confusing everything IS!' or 'she can't go to a certain doctor cause the insurance WONT COVER EET!'

Of course she could be lying, we are talking about Amber after all, but it's a mistake to automatically assume that something didn't happen just because she didn't film it.

I didn’t know if this belonged in Niks thread or Ambers thread but this was interesting

That's what social workers are for and why hospitals employ them. If you're ever unfortunate enough to contract a major illness and you have no insurance, medical facilities employ (usually) social workers or to get that sorted and get you on a plan.

You didn't hear about her muh insurance plan struggles because the of this very reason.

This whole Amber doesn't have insurance "fact" is starting to resemble the 'Amber doesn't have a bank account because Amber doesn't have ID because Amber lost her ID 300 years ago and you can't pay taxes without an ID therefore Amber doesn't pay taxes and totally didn't go to a mental health diagnosis mill because Amber doesn't have insurance' narrative that some still embrace and perpetuate as established fact.

Come on, dude. Nobody is saying Big Al didn't go to some pill-a-doc because she didn't have insurance. That discussion is about her idiotic claims that she came away with four MAJOR diagnoses in a single, 50-minute, first consult, and that this was somehow necessary to fill out some bullshit insurance paperwork to satisfy the beancounters.

Whether she has insurance now or not, she a lying liar who lies, and it would totally be in character for her to believe that now that her ladybits op is done and she's "obviously in remission" that she doesn't need insurance.

It would also be totally in character for her to go off with the zeal of the newly converted and wax poetically, perhaps with a couple of crocodile tears, about how expensive insurance is and that she is passionate about how everyone should have insurance, for free, y'all. Now that she has insurance she has to pay for, of course.

Excuse my cynicism.

I personally think that was a lie, but only because when she mentioned trying to get weight loss surgery she said "I wrote the check that night". If she had insurance why was she trying to use money as leverage to get the surgery? The cost wouldn't be as substantial if she was covered, she wouldn't be paying full price like she implied.

Because maybe the insurance she has won't cover it? Because maybe this fancy doctor she was puffing up about doesn't take her insurance? Because maybe that doctor she was puffed up about isn't in her network? Maybe those are reasons she was prepared to write a check?

It doesn't even take creative thinking to come up with these reasonable and highly probable scenarios.

Jesus HMO Christ.

You're not wrong, but we could just go down this line of reasoning forever. Like, why would she go to a doctor that didn't take her insurance? Why would insurance not help cover weight loss surgery for someone with a 100+ bmi? She's either lying or not.

Because for some reason, she was hepped up on this particular fancy ass weight loss doctor. Amber said she wanted the surgery NOW. I suspect she thought money could buy her way out of all the requirements and compliance weight loss surgeons expect.

Some insurance doesn't pay for it. Some require a year long program.

She's either lying or not.
She's either lying or she's not about what?
