I've been debating posting this for a while, but given AL's latest foray into Olympic-level gaslighting, I feel like it's time.

Although it's a bit off-topic, if anyone wants to watch a really satisfying comeuppance of a Cluster-B cunt, complete with the most amazing attempt at gaslighting I've seen in ages, I have a video for you.

Although the woman in the video is just... beyond comprehension (for real -- she somehow makes AL look pretty chill and essentially honest by comparison) seeing the traits in such stark relief is pretty fun. And it makes it a lot easier to see when AL tries to pull the same shit (not that it's that hard to see).
 
I'm glad you linked that. That woman is the dictionary definition of an exceptional gaslighter. Watching & listening to her is a stark reminder that the best way to deal with gaslighting is to bluntly cut right through the crap & refuse to be sucked into any verbal or written engagement that comes remotely close to acknowledging that even part of a gaslighting attempt may have a basis in truth. When push comes to shove, bullshit is bullshit. I loved the judge's comments at sentencing.

I am more fascinated by the addiction to purchasing absolute crap, than the food addiction. Anyone else? My mother was like this, and I never understood it. Watching Amber is helping me make sense of it all. My mom, too, was/is obsessed with journals. She also had vases, baskets, pillows, tea towels, dishes, wreaths, holiday decorations, and quilts in the HUNDREDS. If not thousands.

I don't think we see a lot of what is going on in this house, which is why a TLC show would be great. My mother was very protective of her things, and despite that their value was almost nothing, I faced near abuse for mishandling one of her items. I wonder if the housemates suffer the same.

I assume it’s because she is trying to fill the empty void inside. Literally stuffs her feelings and any semblance of self improvement down with food, and clutters her life with junk to distract from the darkness inside.

It's a control thing. People who hoard tend to have untreated OCD and in an odd sense, hoarding is a way to have control in one's life. The object isn't important and its value isn't what it's worth monetarily, it's the fact she has control over it. It could be anything really but she has control over it because it's tangible and can be an external symbol of HER control over it.

Or, she's just bored because she's trapped in a 600 pound flesh coffin that has left her physically unable to do 95% of basic human activities, and rolling around Walmart and browsing Amazon are one of the few things she can manage.

I should hope so! I was never fond of him. He was over the top to the point of ridiculous and I always wondered if that was all an act. I guess it was. Whatever the case, I was never comfortable watching him except in reaction channels. I certainly hope he is over, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

But, people started claiming that it may have been manufactured for views. Whatever the case, if he wanted Trisha around, then it worked given how he "exposed" her.

He's adept at working people's weak points. With Trisha, her weak point is her online reputation. Nik put up blatantly edited clips taking her words and flipping the meaning totally from her defending him and praising him in streams to her supposedly ripping on him for being fat. People ran with it. She was paid for a Cameo in which she had to say good and bad things about Nik, he used the 'bad' part in his rebuttal as well. It was all so easy to see, but the people who want to dunk on Trisha pretended it was all actual "receipts" and did his dirty work for him. Trisha ended up backing down and spending time with him to placate the internet, basically. He's a very creepy man.

With Stephanie, her weak point is her psychology, she's clearly got high anxiety and PTSD as well from being attacked in her home. So instead he got into her mind.

I actually think it'd be hard for him to do a number on Amber since she's so mentally lazy!

We only wanted to hear voicemail greetings and we had already grown bored of even THAT. She could've just ignored this. But she just HAD to go and make a youtube video about it and reveal the name of the office and now the psychos in her comment section have actually SPOKEN to the person answering the phones at that office I'm dead.

I have my doubts that Amberlynn ever intended to see that urologist but if she did, there's no chance of it happening now.
