The irony is, it's also robbing her of her own health, welfare, and life.

If Amber dies, I really hope Rafe steps up again and takes the cats and Twinkie. She actually tried to do the right thing with taking Rarity to the vet to get spayed, so I sincerely doubt she would be the type of person to leave a suffering dog untreated just to go out and eat.

I've seen and treated animals who are truly abused and neglected. The things people do is beyond any imagination. It gets to the point that I'm just happy some pets get a pat and food. So, I may be jaded.
I'm not so much concerned about the the fact she didn't rush Twinkie to the vet, it's the lack of simple care for her animals. She flexes all this cash but can't be bothered to get her cats neutered or maintain a healthy weight with Twinkie, which I think is a big factor to what happened.

It’s going to be all questions and rants about Twinkie. I was lurking FB and plebbit for more Exceptional Haydur fodder and all the groups are just people going on about how AL is a bad dog owner (duh) and how much better they all are.

their relationship is super cold and strained I agree. but after looking at Chantal & Bibi and Lifebyjen and the homeless alcoholic, Amber and Becky are like newlyweds on their honeymoon.

And Jayden got her dog put down after she carelessly got it hit by a car and it had seizures. Also Michaelbepetty hearted the comment which is hilarious because of the info we know.

That's the big thing for me too. Because while yes, obviously the animals are in an environment not good for them it's like... mostly because Amber is too lazy to do anything about it. She could pay to have her house cleaned. She could pay to have her animals groomed every month if she wanted to. She could pay for a bunch of vet visits. But she doesn't, because she's too lazy and slow in the minds to think about anyone but herself. Not even her twonky stoor.
 
Here's what I'm hoping, in regards to the Twinkie situation... shit. The Twinkie event, whatever. Amber is prone to exaggeration and dramatics, even more than That Girl in a middle school, and Twinkie is of a breed that is, frankly, known for being squirmy and shivering and things like that. I'm gonna hope that Twinkie was low energy, crawled up on the bed, and was shivering a bit because she's a chihuahua--shit, maybe she was just cold--and that's all Amber needs for a freak out.

That's my hope. Save Twinkie.

What if Amber loses her kidneys to this bladder infection. What if our girl passes away, being eaten from the inside out. Poetic?
 
Can you imagine if she lost kidney function to the point of needing dialysis 3-4 times a week? She sometimes makes the right noises about how her weight puts a lot of limitations on her life but that's nothing compared to what dialysis would do. 4 hours on the machine, plus the prep & travel back & forth, the inevitable problems associated with either a central line or a fistula, the even higher risks of infection & other problems... she wouldn't last long & I wonder, (doubtful), if she has any idea what's involved.

I doubt she'd experience any of that. She doesn't have insurance or the kind of money to pay for it, but too much money to qualify for medicaid. I don't know anything about disability, maybe that would be an avenue to pay for care, but she'd probably die while waiting to have it approved. There's no way she'd pay for even a week of it herself.

Somebody in a thread mentioned that one of the faggots has a dog that has seizures, but he won't take it to a vet.

The thought of a poor doggo having uncontrolled seizures in a house full of hedonistic humans depresses me.
