Wouldnt demons be effective fighters against Viltrumites since most of their weapons and powers would be magic/hell based and thus would easily by pass Viltrumite invulnerability? Not even mentioning most Viltrumites are no doubt dripping in sin so things like Hellfire should def. absolutely melt them like butter.

People keep acting like Superman cant be stopped without Kryptonite when magic and psychic powers have demonstrated to being able to affect him just like anyone else.
I mean demons in Invincible are just 6 lizardpeople that live in a cave and can't beat a random c-tier baddy that even Mark just one shots despite his wildly fluctuating powerlevel, so I'm afraid that they are worth jackshit against literally anyone.
Thinking about it the entire hell episode feels like a shitty adaption of DC's Day of Judgement where among other things Superman and a few other people go to hell and fight Cerberus. The difference is that this comic actually treated the demons like they are dangerous, and well they were also actual demons who came from actual hell.

Which doesnt make much sense until you remember that Robert Kirkmann is a nihilist* so that checks out. I mean, when it comes to Heaven and Hell, any natives from there should find most power levels in the mortal realm to be absolutely laughable so Viltrumites are just jacked up space barbarians who are just as mortal as anyone else (and whose souls burn all the same).

I guess if I gotta give DC some credit, they do treat their more "abstract" and "divine based" characters as the practically untouchable mfs that they should be. Superman is OP but next to Lucifer Morningstar, he can snap his fingers and Superman and Krypton as a whole are erased from ever existing.

A huge problem with Invincible as an universe is that it seems to be written around the fact the Viltrumites NEED to be unstoppable when that limits creativity at the end of the day. Fuck, may I remind you all that, in the comics at least, they had Mark variant apparently kill the Spawn from his universe? When we know that Spawn, at his weakest, is still plenty capable of dealing with a Mark variant?

You can argue that it just so "happened" that Spawn was literally the weakest in the multiverse but I think Kirkmann just reaaaally wants to make his kryptonian knock offs borderline unstoppable when they really shouldnt be in a world that isnt limited by contrivences

*I was surprised he wasnt jewish, so he is just a "take that, dad" manchild
