I'm worried for a fast decline in content in the upcoming seasons; the signs are all there:
* Normies are catching on, and they want predictable story arcs and relatable tropes. Normies don't want to see omniman's redemption arc, they want him as an unidimensional villain. They don't care about Robot and Monster Girl's arc, they want tosee Incincible x Rex x Alchemiss love triangle.. So they will tune out and the story will have to change.
* Big names are hopping on, and they only care about numbers. Normies don't like Saurian and they want him as an oneoff. So he will be replaced . There's also an ego thing. Why does my guy get killed off? Or not get enough lines? Etc etc.
* There is also gonna be a lot more wokeshit in it. Right now it's not on the nose, but expect it to be tuned up to 9 or 11. I'm talking content added, like new woke content, whole new, woke superheroes will be squezed in, certain eco-terrorist villain might be replaced altogether, etc etc. One thing is for sure, viltrumites will all be white.

For those of you making all these predictions about the coming seasons sucking ass just remember this.

This an even more edgy and woke adaptation of an already edgy and woke comic. The best part of a frankly pretty shit comic (just read the original watchmen) has already been adapted.

You don't need "signs" its going to suck, we already know its going to suck.

If I'm remember things correctly, I think the original comic itself is pretty progressive by superhero comic standard at the time. The only thing that makes me worry is that they add unecessary characters to the story or doing a drastic change to a character. At least they get the note that Eve is ginger not a nigger. And there are black viltrumites.

black viltrumites.
I wonder which viltrumites will be evil and which ones will have a redemption arc. Hmmm...

Will the buff chick who rapes Invincible be black?

Viltrumites are literally some sort of parasites that infect the host, absorb some of their characteristics and then get birthed and cared for as their actual children.

Either that or the only thing needed to make babies in this universe is a hole that takes seed.

Would Omniman be able to breed with a wolf and make a furry Viltrumite? holy shit this raises so many questions I can't even

This show is the same as The Boys. They are both based on awful but super overrated comic book series with foaming at the mouth fandoms. Both series are basically edgelord fantasy with curse words and gore for teenagers to gawk over with no real depth. They both feature 'evil superman' as the main villain. But Evil Superman ends up being written better, is more compelling, and better acted than all other characters and becomes the fan favorite. They refuse to kill the evil character off because now he is the only reason anyone watches the show. And must find some way to redeem the main villain by introducing new ultra horrible villains out of nowhere to whitewash Evil Superman for the fans. "Yeah Omni Man was bad....but wait until you see the other Viltrumites". "Yeah Homelander was bad.....but wait until you meet Soldier Boy".

Both shows features tons of nigger and fag characters and all sorts of woke and kike writing. Including race bending as many characters as possible. Both Evil Superman characters have sons that will need to grow up and beat their fathers to save earth. Both of the sons are heavily monitored by the US government. Both Evil Supermans kill other heroes and 'innocents'. First episode of The Boys had Homelander kill the politician and his family. Invincible had Omni Man kill the Guardians. Both Evil Supermans are in a romantic relationship but reveal that the women meant nothing to them. Nolan says his wife is like a dog. Homelander flat out kills Madelyn Stillwell. Same plot points over and over again.

Viltrumites are mental idiots. They kill each other by the millions to cull the weak of their race.......so that they can procreate with weaker species from other planets permanently destroying their own genetic lines? Makes absolutely no sense at all. "Hey everyone I killed 10,000 pure blooded Viltrumites to prove I was the strongest!!". "What are you going to do to celebrate?". "Impregnate a gook human and have a mongrel child that is not even fully Viltrumite!!". "Wow so fucking woke!!". By the end of the comics Nolan has gone from a bug woman to a literal bug.

The power levels in both comics and shows also make no sense. Omni Man can barely kill the Guardians by himself and collapses before being able to flee the crime scene. Yet he can blow up an entire planet by himself, including orbiting space stations and moons, and be home for dinner. Homelander is feared as being unbeatable and just crushes everyone for two seasons then magically half of the cast can stand and trade with him no problem. Where Maeve is beating the brakes off of him yet not even a year ago could barely make eye contact with him.

Both comics go off of the rails. The Boys has the US government wiping out basically every hero out of nowhere. Invincible becomes even more absurd with its time traveling and other dimensions. Last couple of arcs of Invincible reminded me of Game of Thrones in that the writers had too many plots and loose ends to properly conclude so they just winged it and hoped the fans would just keep evangelizing everything.

I doubt that either show will have a strong ending. Like Homelander or Omni Man wiping out earth or enslaving humanity. Or like Vought or the Viltrumites just taking over earth on their own.

"Yeah Omni Man was bad....but wait until you see the other Viltrumites". "Yeah Homelander was bad.....but wait until you meet Soldier Boy".
Well this one backfired, Soldier boy ended being the most likable character of the entire cast.

Honestly I'm hoping they fix a lot of the issues I had with the comics in the show. For instance Mark forgiving his father almost instantly. I think he should hate his guts for at least a solid season after they reunite. The comics didn't do enough to actually earn Mark forgiving his father. And it'll be especially harder to convince me of such a rapid forgiveness now because the fight between them in the show is much more brutal than in the comics, and Omni-Man acts like a much more malicious asshole during it.

And I hope they skip the entire Reboot arc. Seriously, 3 issues of a comic that were basically a near complete waste of time just so they could have a cut 5 years into the future when the Viltrumites are all totally realistically rehabilitated now because Nolan is Emperor. It also shows that Mark is a really shitty fucking hero. He decides that all the people he just saved by stopping his dad can just go ahead and die because he doesn't want to erase his daughter from the timeline. He's unwilling to let one person close to him cease to exist in order to save thousands.

Goddamn rereading the comics makes me realize how fucking flawed they were.

this sounds a lot like a you issue
I mean, the reboot arc was fucking trash, but your complaints are founded more on your own beliefs on how a person should act rather than how people act. It would make far more sense for him to hate him in the show though. The fresh Subway scene is unjustifiable.

Yeah, maybe it is just my own beliefs at play. Were it me I would have made the opposite decision even though I know it's going to hurt because it's what I think is right. I know that the lives of thousands outweigh my own happiness, apparently Mark didn't think so and in my eyes that makes him less of a hero.

And yeah, that subway scene wasn't in the comics. Omni Man outright used Mark's flailing body to kill countless people just to hurt him. I wouldn't forgive that, the only reason I would ever want to see my dad again if he did something like that is so that I can personally put him the fuck down.

I really do hope the show rectifies a lot of the flaws of the comics because some of it was just head scratching. Like Mark basically killing a villain by smashing his head open so badly it's just a pile of gore, but he totally survives somehow with no real explanation given as to how a man can survive having his brains turned into fucking mush.
Frankly I kinda hated most of the alternate dimension shit they did in the comics as well.

I didn't mind that part, it's the part where the guy who kicked that arc off survived having his head turned into fucking goo.
Seriously look at this shit!

This is literally "Instant death" but somehow he's still alive? That just doesn't make sense to me and I'm used to suspending my disbelief for capeshit logic. I could imagine Mark beating him so bad that he merely THINKS he's dead, but this is a case of "the brain cells required for thinking are no longer even fucking touching." And no, I don't buy the "He went to another dimension and got repaired" shit, he wouldn't even be capable of forming the thoughts necessary to open a portal with his brain in that condition.

I forgot how fucked he got. Holy shit.

Ridiculous moral choices are bad writing in general, especially if their results are immediate, arbitrary and ridiculously unfair.

Also, if your setting involves afterlife and supernatural shit, one can argue that having your existence erased is far worse than any number of people dying since the former is permanent (at least that's an idea I have to a story).
