I love Fallout, so yeah I know I'm biased. I knew a live action TV show would likely be shit, but still decided to watch the trailer with an open mind. It looks way worse than what I was expecting. If the trailer looks this bad, I can't imagine how the actual show will be. Everything looks bland, the actors have stilted dialog, CGI looks like shit, and if that "joke" was the best they could show for the trailer, then no doubt the rest of the humor is gonna be cringe for sure.
What I don't understand is why the outfits look bad. I've seen SO MANY good cosplay costumes, and most of those are from people with limited budgets and resources. Yet this high dollar professional company somehow makes the costumes look... costume-y. It doesn't look like something people would actually wear in this world, and the color looks weird.
I guess there's always hope the trailer is trash and somehow the show itself is good, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Unless it comes out and kiwis say it's worth watching, I will be giving this a hard pass.
The ego on the Bethesda devs. Doesn't surprise me that they would be the type of people whose egos are so massive that they go to every negative review of Starslop on Steam and go "No! You're wrong!" Our game is a masterpiece! You're just playing it wrong!" This show is going to be a massive dumpster fire and hopefully the final nail in the coffin in regards to Bethesda's reputation and it is going to be glorious.
