You know, the public server that AltFurry ran and was leaked? Might just be me, but I don't think that can be considered a 'private conversation'. Also the small detail of having your email address posted online somewhere is not doxing.

I have been informed that Leif has been sperging at Dogpatch so much over the past week that it is now on it's fourth Twitter account. Hard to confirm it for certain after the fact, but the currently active account has most of the AltFurry members following and nothing else.

Honestly I don't understand why lefty furs think AltFurry is even a threat.

It's a group of backstabbing exceptional individuals constantly tripping over themselves and pretending that they're big, scary rebels.

I would say because this is more of a conflict between different furry cliques, not ideologies (the leftists here are rich kids half of whom never had a real job, the altrighties are perverse mongrels). By propping up an intimidating boogeyman, the cliques can consolidate their power, intimidating unaligned people into joining them. That's why they both won't shut up about that Rocky Mountains con and how it was Raiders or Deo who led to it's cancellation even though that one was doomed from the start because it was organized by a sovcit. That's why they are concerned about the other group like totally ruining fandom and it's image forever even though its not something even every furry is aware of whereas both parties ignore pedophiles and other sex pests (unless they're in their enemy's ranks) which contribute to negative furry stereotypes way more than fursuiter wehraboo antifas.

There's some furs in my local scene that don't even know what the fuck a kiwifarm is, or what a Len Gilbert is (and why his novels are fucking horrible), or what even happened at RMFC.

It's kinda like one of the (ex)admins on Furry Speech said. It's just pointless internet e-drama.

Altfurry paints this as protecting their values from the onslaught of leftist oppression.
LeftyFurs portray this as a fuzzy version of the Great Patriot War.
The other 95% of the furry fandom doesn't give a shit/doesn't know and just wants their smut.

Well, I didn't expect this to be a thing.

The article itself is regular accusation throwing and prominent figure appearances from both sides. Lots of detail missing that anyone keeping track of drama would be aware of. There's nothing remarkable in it beyond the fact anyone would bother covering this in mainstream press. Though it's pretty hilarious that this has led to HuffPo talking about traps.

'Open-Comms'. Meaning.. the logs they are releasing are specifically from the public access room?

If they really wanted to impress people they would include all the secret rooms Len and his underlings use. I suppose QuQu probably doesn't have access to important stuff like that, being the resident mascot/joke, so this probably is the best we'll get from him.
