Then again, with no niggers or faggots front and center in the film*, maybe the Chinese will eat this slop enough to make it succeed.
The Chinese market can be great for bragging rights in terms of boosting the overall box office. However...... the best guestimates available are that the proportion of that box office that comes back to the western distributor is between 20 to 25% as opposed to approx 50% for most of the rest of the world.

So when you see an initially impressive Chinese box office take; divide it by 4 or 5 to get to what the film maker actually sees. It becomes a lot less impressive really quickly.

And apparently humanity still hasn't figured out FTL in whatever year this is set, despite things like LV-426 (~40 light years from Earth) being 10 months away in Alien. :stress:

That seems to be the case. No human characters whatsoever.
That doesn't sound too bad. Is Badlands any good?

She wants to make the Predator into a clit lit character. Gatekeep your hobbies and entertainment!
Way too late; this idea was a thing since the AvP comics with Machiko, but especially got more noticeable when the first film came out. There's been people like this for decades, and now they're able to shit up their IPs with their trash fics.
So no red blood? Does the Predator only kill synths and aliens?
It's PG-13; that's why there's no blood.
Haven't seen it yet, just caught that bit about the lack of FTL from some reviews.
Wait, did Badlands ALSO commit to this retarded idea that the Alien verse doesn't have FTL?! Jesus Christ if so.

But yeah, Alien: Welcome to Earf actually has the 12 year old played like a 6 year old played by an alleged adult be the key to FTL... as the Nostromo is 80 LY away on a 20 month mission. This tard moment is in episode 6.

It was revealed recently that one of the ideas that Disney had was for a Predator to hunt Nazis during WWII.
I'm not a big Pred-Head but I heard there was a Dark Horse comic like the last, which somebody prevented Marvel from reprinting in a recent Omnibus.

In fairness, if you ran it like Saving Private Ryan meets Predator, or alternatively like Inglorious Bastards meets Predator, that actually could work well as a film concept. Don't get me wrong, they'd absolutely fuck it up and make it some naval gazing bullshit, but it could be a very good movie in the hands of someone remotely competent.

Going from the series which had the iconic “skinning and hanging a human” to no blood is amazing. The disneyfication of old IPs and violent classics is awful.

I ran to the summary/rundown and this reads like some Disney queer shit involving the Predator species. Horrible. 90% rating on Rotten Tomato.

I'm not surprised given that it's very clear that sci-fi as a concept is dead in the enterainment industry; too hard to think of cleanly unless it's Rick and Morty nonserious garbo. Or in this case, a failed Star Wars script I'd not be surprised of them recycling for this shit.
90% rating on Rotten Tomato.
Worthless score given it's owned by a RatCo alumni who rigs it for their butt-buddies in industry.

Good. Let it die. And take Alien with it. At least Terminator is finally dead (RIP)
The true sequel to Terminator 2 is, and always will be, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Other than some slightly melodramatic voice overs and a wobble in the middle of the second season due to writer's strikes, it was a darn good series. And you know what? Lena Heady does a better Sarah Connor than Linda Hamilton. There, I said it and I don't care. This is truth!

I loved the series, except for the fact it ended on a cliffhanger :(
