What I see from people online regrading AI is one of 7 attitudes.
  1. The guy who hasn't paid attention and thinks AI is still gibberish shit.
  2. The guy who can't wait for the AI bubble to pop purely so he can say "I was right!"
  3. The guy who's deathly afraid that AI is going to go full Skynet on the economy.
  4. The guy who's deathly afraid that AI is going to go full Skynet on Humanity.
  5. The guy who thinks AI is just jeet slop YT videos and bad articles.
  6. The guy who draws or writes for a living and is personally insulted that his artistry can be emulated by a chatbot.
  7. The guy who watches Joe Rogan and is convinced that AI is the next coming of Christ.
Now I'm just a humble retard but is it possible that AI is just another digital tool and that the sky isn't falling?

One of AI's biggest problems (that we've all pointed out) is how human-like it sounds. It worms into the head of a room temperature IQ middle manager like nothing else. There are so many conversations that go something like,

Here is output from AI you asked for
>Great! How are we going to make it do the whole project by itself?
You don't really. Because AI is stupid. And not a person.
>Ohhhhh I see. Got it. So how do we make it not stupid, and a person?
You don't. Because it's stupid. And not a person. The best you're getting is better output from better prompts.
>Aha! So with the right prompt it'll do projects all by itself!
No. It won't. Because it's stupid. And not a person.
>Right right right. So anyway, this ChatGPT person, when can we hire them?
More like this:
* Manager: why use a team of programmers when I have AI? AI do the code for this solution!
* AI: here's a generic pseudocode for this solution done poorly and untested!
* Manager: Great! Now let's pass it onto the offshore team! Why use our expensive engineers? We have 3 months.
* Jeet team: 2 months of useless meeting, structuring, dividing code.
* Jeet engineer 1: copies the code in. Pushes pr.
* Jeet engineer 2: bandage fixes (null reference error? Add nullcheck. Array out of range? Index check!)
* Manager: it's been 2 months; code runs without error, but solution not implemented! Ai why is that?
* Ai: technobabble
* Manager: I'm impressed. Offshore team try to fix that.
* Offshore team: we did all we could saar! It's a library issue saar! Update plugins and addressables saar! It's the QA teams fault saar!
* Manager: ugh, ok let's pass it down to our white engineers! You have 1 week
* Problem fixed after crunch
* Manager: good job offshore team and Ai!
* Shareholders: visibly impressed by offshore team + ai + costs saved

Ironic that when I searched this Google forced me to try and have a think about their AI feature bullshit.

It's like its smart and stupid at the same time and doesn't even have a basic grasp on extremely known things from just 15 years ago.

You forgot the moral fag who thinks its stealing everything and taking money away from people who were never going to make it in the first place. I can almost sort of see what they are saying for things like using an actors likeness or I.P protection but...When the fuck did you become a big movie production studio and when did this become a problem to you? I for the fucking life of me cannot understand how this is even remotely relevant to some BPD cunt on etsy who cant afford her SSRI's this month unless she sells two drawings. This is like prison overpopulation being a problem. Yeah this is a concept that needs to be address by something somewhere, but me as an individual? The fuck do I care?

Also people complaining about RAM prices. To be fair their are more people buying/building a p.c and this effects things like phones/consoles/tv's eventually also so their is a small point but you act like you are buying this in bulk all the time or even have anything to do with it after initial purchase. Just complaining for the sake of complaining.

in not worried about the tool I'm worried about the consequences of everybody using the tool for more than the tool is good for because it's trendy

It's already led to a massive quality backslide in nearly every context it's being used in and you basically have to cherry pick and use manipulative presentation methods to make any ai based tool function in the manner it's been presented as

the ai itself is fine the problem is Sandeep Singh trying to trick you into validating their izzat with some dogshit barely functional contraption that sucks up energy and manpower worse than a web app coded by a single swede

Usually people like to pick up cheaper and faster ram once their system starts to age and the next generation of ram comes out. it can get you a decent performance boost or more working memory as a cheap upgrade.

I bought 8 sticks for 100 bucks 3 years ago. They were 2800mhz from 2015. The same ram is now $400. Fast ram? 4000mhz? Lol. You're paying more than ddr5 prices.
