I think what really did me in is that there are three basic things about civilization:

* writing
* the wheel
* multi story structures

That we kind of take for granted. Mesoamerica, Europe/North Africa, and Asia have all independently invented these things. Not every group from these places, but at least once in every instance. Africa has not.

It’s true that mesoamericans mostly used the wheel for toys and minor applications, but they seem to have gotten the basic idea

But like, the Mayans had wheels for toys and spinning wheels and other of non transport wheels, so the explanation of “African contexts” doesn’t make any fucking sense. Even if you lived entirely in the middle of a jungle on a series of navigable rivers with no draft animals, there are still a bunch of motivations for invention of the wheel.

But sitting down and writing down words that rhyme to say prerecorded from a sample you got from a service that you did not even make is not a fucking skill. Thats not to say most people you hear on the radio have no talent but rather they got there due to situational advantages and being in the right place in the right time"

Also, this whole "WE 'FRAID OF THE WHITE PO-LICE" thing is such fucking bullshit if you actually watch these body cam videos. None of them show even the slightest bit of the fear. They escalate, they aggravate the police officers, and they refuse any and all lawful orders. These are not the actions of a people that are afraid, these are the actions of stupid people that know the cops aren't allowed to give them what they deserve and that they'll be out on the streets again in no time without even a slap on the wrist. It's fucking disgusting. You'll even hear them say it to each other when the arrests happen in a black neighborhood. They'll proudly yell at to their friends "don't even worry mayne I be out tomorrow sheeeeit"

They do know it and that's what really gets me. So many videos of a horde of nogs rushing cops (or in some cases, one singular cop) yelling shit like "I'm scared for my life" or "y'all tryna kill me." They're not scared, but they know the magic words that'll let them garner sympathy, or gain the system. It's all optics. There was one body cam video from put-in-bay I saw a while back of exactly that. Unruly "teens" chimping out en masse while playing the victims (which outnumbered the original cops like 11:2 iirc. And the fucking worst part is that it works. Just look at the coverage on it, some (((white))) woman writing about it like it was anything other than cops trying (way too patiently) to wrangle some unruly blacks.


I'll edit if I can find the footage, because it's pretty much the same thing I described. Unfortunately most body cam channels on YouTube don't include the location or date in either the description or title (which makes it a lot harder to find)
