But we as a society will still have paid out about a million dollars, probably, when you add up the direct payments (welfare, EBT, etc), the services (free education, free healthcare), and the extra infrastructure cost to clean up messes they made.

AI tends to do it on its own
people have noticed a few ways to detect AI is that is absolutely abuses strange 'relatable' metaphors, aka
"Like a X on steroids" "Like a X that went super Sayan" "Like a budget version of X"
And also the "It's not just X it's Y" format in nonsensical ways that don't necessarily make sense in such a format
"It's not just a great film, it's a cultural statement" "This historical figure wasn't just important, he was a leader"

Granted, those aren't 100% ways of clocking AI, the reason it repeats them is because humans speak like this, but AI certainly has a fixation on them at the moment

I was watching that with my family yesterday, we all agree that it was tasteless for the cops to arrest him on the floor while dressed as Chuck E Cheese. They should've made him go back to the locker room, change into his normal clothes, THEN bring him out. Now a bunch of kids are gonna be like "WTF THE COPS HATE CHUCK E CHEESE!!"
